Barnsley v Stoke City
Barnsley will be without suspended winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce. Tykes manager Simon Davey could also be missing opposite winger Martin Devaney and hopes Rob Kozluk can shake off a thigh injury.
Stoke's Stephen Wright (head wound) has been missing for the last two games but may feature, while Dominic Matteo (foot) is still out.
Colchester v Southampton
Colchester midfielder Kem Izzet is a doubt after a trip to hospital on Saturday night as he suffered a dislocated thumb and a nasty gash against QPR. Fellow midfielder Kevin Watson is expected to miss the festive period with a calf injury.
Marek Saganowski has been ruled out for Saints with a groin strain. Wayne Thomas may return.
Hull City v Wolves
Fraizer Campbell is a doubt for Hull but Dean Windass is available after suspension. Midfielder Nick Barmby made his first-team return after a four-month absence last time out after recovering from a knee injury and could feature again.
Jody Craddock (groin) is available for Wolves and Gary Breen (knee) could also be in contention.
Norwich v Charlton Norwich boss Glenn Roeder could recall striker Jamie Cureton. Winger Luke Chadwick may be back in contention after delaying a shoulder operation until the new year.
Charlton are without Danny Mills, Jonathan Fortune and Andy Reid and have fresh doubts over top scorer Chris Iwelumo, Sam Sodje and Lloyd Sam.
Preston v Scunthorpe
Lewis Neal could make his first start of the season for Preston. Paul McKenna is a doubt (ankle). Billy Jones and Paul Gallagher should continue after recovering from knocks.
Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins is without Cliff Byrne, Andy Butler, Izzy Iriekpen and Kelly Youga. Matt Sparrow, Cleveland Taylor and Tomi Ameobi hope to return.
Watford v Cardiff (12noon)
Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has no fresh injury concerns. Gareth Williams (knee ligaments) is out until the new year.
Veteran striker Robbie Fowler is a concern for Cardiff after he sprained an ankle in a reserve game. Steve Thompson is serving a threematch ban. Trevor Sinclair remains sidelined.
Burnley v Sheff Weds
Burnley boss Owen Coyle will be without suspended midfielders John Spicer, Joey Gudjonsson and Chris McCann. A fatigued Robbie Blake should be available again while Alan Mahon (hamstring) remains a doubt.
Wednesday hope to have striker Akpo Sodje (ankle) back in contention. Jermaine Johnson is doubtful after a gashed ankle.
Coventry v Crystal Palace
Coventry will be without suspended striker Kevin Kyle. Fellow forward Leon McKenzie hopes to shake off a knee problem in time to replace him.
Neil Warnock could name the same line-up for a fourth successive game, although he does have the option of restoring Jose Fonte to his back-line after he recovered from a thigh injury.
Leicester v Ipswich
Leicester midfielder James Wesolowski (hamstring) is a doubt, while DJ Campbell (pelvis) could be sidelined for up to three months.
Striker Elvis Hammond (ankle) is still out.
Ipswich will give a late fitness test to left-back Luis Castro Sito (concussion).
Tommy Miller should be available after recovering from a virus.
Plymouth v QPR
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock could recall Lilian Nalis and Lee Martin to his squad.
Midfielder Nalis has served a ban, while on-loan Manchester United winger Martin has shaken off a hamstring injury.
QPR are missing centre-half Damion Stewart (suspended). Michael Mancienne (hamstring) is struggling and Sampsa Timoska (virus) is doubtful.
Sheff Utd v Blackpool
Rob Hulse is pushing for a starting place for United. Chris Morgan is a doubt after he sustained an ankle injury against Cardiff.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher could be a doubt for Blackpool with David Fox ready to step in. Simon Grayson's only definite absentee will be Keith Southern, who faces two months out after an ankle op.
West Brom v Bristol City
West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has a near fully-fit squad. Dean Kiely returned for Saturday's defeat at Stoke. Captain Neil Clement is out.
Darren Byfield could be pushing for recall to the Bristol City starting line-up after his late winner against Barnsley. Liam Fontaine plays his last game before serving a onematch ban.
