Vincent Kompany has played down a clip of him rowing with Johan Berg Gudmundsson at Burnley last season.
Kompany landed a dream move to Bayern Munich in the summer but he endured a difficult 2023/24 campaign with the Clarets, who were relegated just 12 months after reaching the Premier League.
The clip, which was from the Sky documentary: 'Mission to Burnley', showed Kompany and Gudmunsson having a furious exchange on the training pitch amid the club's desperate battle to beat the drop.
An irate Kompany launched a volley of expletives at the veteran winger during a session, saying: "Don't f***ing test me! Do not f***ing test me! Enough with the f***ing moaning! Play f***ing football! F***ing play! How many times do I have to tell you? Stop f***ing moaning!"
Kompany then chased the Gudmundsson to press him further, saying: "Do you have something you want to communicate to the team? Are you a big boy?". Gudmundsson replied: "I just said can we finish the attack? What have I moaned about today?". But Kompany hit back: "Body language is f***ing s***, I'm not accepting it. It's f***ing life or death. F***ing play!"
Unsurprisingly, the clip has gone viral since the second series of the documentary dropped earlier this month - and Kompany was asked for his take during a press conference in Germany.
The Bayern boss laughed and said of the exchange: "I've also explained to him calmly! This is actually the first time this year at Bayern that I don't have a camera crew filming my entire season for a documentary. It was the case at Anderlecht and Burnley.

"When every speech and every training session is filmed, there's always a moment like that. But the message of all that is that we are giving our lives for our club. If the club gets relegated, people will lose their jobs. We have a responsibility. We should never find ourselves in a situation where we have a lack of attention.
"It wasn't about a bad pass or a bad tactical choice, but about fundamental things: running and fighting for each other. He had broken the basic principles."
Kompany has enjoyed a perfect start to the new Bundesliga season, winning both of his two league games at the helm after succeeding Thomas Tuchel.
