Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli was visibly moved to tears during the show's latest episode, as a contestant hailed as 'the new Susan Boyle ' took to the stage, prompting an emotional response from the star who cried: "I'm a mess. This show is killing me!"

Bruno Tonioli, previously known for his role on Strictly Come Dancing, faced criticism last week after awarding his Golden Buzzer to Taryn Charles, a singer with past appearances on ITV's Starstruck and a history of working with music legends like Candi Staton.

In a twist of events, it was Amanda Holden who stirred up some controversy on Britain's Got Talent this weekend, which aired a day later than usual. She pressed the Golden Buzzer for impressionist Nabe, despite having already used it for vocalist Sydnie Christmas in the first episode.

The auditorium was filled with emotion as Denise delivered an exquisitely moving and pitch-perfect rendition of 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain' from The Sound of Music. As the camera turned to Bruno, he appeared visibly moved and told Denise: "I'm actually inspired by you, I've learnt something today about your positive state of mind and the ability to have a sense of humour about yourself."

"You are an example. I am inspired by you," he added. The duo also received positive feedback from the rest of the judges, and most significantly, a resounding four 'Yeses' from the panel.
