Josie Gibson was not impressed as she asked her co-host Dermot O'Leary "what are you doing?" as the on-screen two clashed horns live on-air.

It's not known if the former X Factor host deliberately blocked Josie from the limelight or if it was a genuine mistake but either way, she didn't take the mishap too lightly as the pair clashed over hosting duties.

Getting ready to talk festive gifts, Dermot said: "It's time to talk presents now." He then waltzed straight in front of the former Big Brother star, completely blocking her from the view of the camera.

Unimpressed that she'd been upstaged, Josie fired back: "What are you doing?"

"God, I'm so sorry," her co-star replied with a cheeky smirk on his face. "I present this show too, there are two of us on air," Josie fumed, as she continued to snap: "Remember that."

Josie and Dermot lock horns over hosting

Dermot pleaded that he hadn't realised where Josie had been standing, claiming his gesture to be nothing more than an innocent and honest mistake. He pointed across the room, stating: "I thought you were there."

Not accepting his apologies, Josie raved: "What is he like." Realising she'd not taken the situation well, Dermot proceeded to duck in front of his co-presenter once more, causing even more uproar and chaos on-screen.

Josie fumed at Dermot "what are you doing?"

Getting her own back, the Bristolian-star struck up an opportunity to lunge herself to the front, this time stepping beyond Dermot who appeared to be searching for something behind her on set.

Making sure the British-Irish broadcaster was completely out of sight, she continued with her piece to camera as Dermot proceeded to pull faces without her noticing.

Josie was unimpressed that Dermot had stepped in front of her

Meanwhile, earlier in the week, fans were elated to see Josie back on-screens as she returned to This Morning after long-term hiatus from the show. The much-loved star had taken a short break back in September after she announced a few new projects in the pipeline.

Viewers took to X - formerly Twitter to express their glee over her return. One person wrote: "Josie's back #thismorning." Another fan asked: "Josie - where the hell have you been?" A third chirped: "Woooooooo Josie is back #ThisMorning." (sic)

The joy continued, as another user shared: "It's Josie! #ThisMorning." The beloved TV personality had been absent due to commitments that included filming for her upcoming Channel 5 show First Class Travel and a project delving into 1970s cuisine.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1, from 10am.
