Prince Harry was reportedly left red "with anger" when Meghan Markle recalled her initial curtsy to the late Queen Elizabeth, a body language expert has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about their life in the Royal Family as part of their Netflix series Harry and Meghan, which was released in 2022.

During the show, the pair shared insights about Meghan's first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, which occurred at Windsor before a lunch with Princess Eugenie at Royal Lodge. In Harry discussed the uniqueness of explaining traditions, such as bowing and curtsying. "How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you will need to curtsy. Especially to an American. That's weird," he said.

Meanwhile, Meghan, 43, reflected on the unexpectedness of the event. "It's surreal. It wasn't like some big moment of like, 'Now you're going to meet my grandmother," she explained. "I didn't know I was going to meet her until moments before."

She amusingly recalled Harry's last-minute tutorial, adding: "And I remember we were in the car and we were driving up and he's like 'You know how to curtsy right? ' And I just thought it was a joke," reports the Express.

Then the former Suits star recollected the meeting and performed a curtsy for the camera. "Pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty", she said as the camera panned to Harry, 40.

Body language guru Jesús Enrique Rosas claimed that the recollection appeared to make Prince Harry seem embarrassed in a YouTube video breakdown. "The first part of Harry's reaction tells me that he knew what was coming. He is serious even if Meghan is speaking quickly, joyfully but there's no connection, no empathy in him. He is serious and maybe even angry, notice what happens with his throat, he is swallowing at that moment," he said.

The expert also highlighted Prince Harry's apparent "contempt" for Meghan's actions, observing that his complexion changed as she exaggerated her curtsy. He continued: "You can see the patches of red on his face are much redder – the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, the temples – it could be that he feels ashamed or angry."

"I'm going to tell you why this is covert anger and not [Harry being] ashamed. If he was ashamed, he would have smiled a bit more, or [had] a nervous laughter.

"But he knew what was coming and he couldn't stand it - that he had that face at the beginning and had that subtle swallow right before Meghan did the curtsy."
