Ranvir Singh has been filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her eponymous morning show, as Lorraine enjoys a festive break. In a recent segment, Ranvir managed to scoop some juicy details from an ex-I'm A Celeb contestant.

The Good Morning Britain anchor had the pleasure of chatting with Beyond Paradise's Seann Walsh on air, when he inadvertently revealed that a former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! participant had been removed from their group chat.

Seann was reflecting on his own Jungle experience in 2022 and comparing it to the camaraderie of the 2024 series participants.

Viewers will remember that Seann's stint on the reality show coincided with ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock's appearance, who was under fire from the public for flouting the very Covid-19 regulations he'd implemented in 2020, reports the Mirror.

In the midst of their talk, Seann unintentionally disclosed that Matt was excluded from the Whatsapp group chat, immediately regretting his slip-up by saying: "Ohh what have I done."

Their discussion had centred around the "warmth" shared among the 2024 cast members, who emerged from the December show as firm friends.

2022 was particularly notable as it marked Matt's first television appearance since resigning from his government position and following his controversial breach of Covid-19 guidelines, which also didn't endear him to his fellow campmates.

Ranvir Singh was eager to find out if Matt Hancock had mended fences with his fellow I'm A Celebrity contestants, but was taken aback when Seann Walsh hinted that things might still be frosty.

When asked about his relationship with Matt, Seann cleverly sidestepped the question, saying: "He finished above me, unbelievable."

Ranvir pressed on, asking: "Are you still in touch with your gang? Because this year's cast on I'm A Celebrity have been so warm and lovely."

Seann assured her that his group was just as friendly.

Not satisfied, Ranvir continued to dig: "It was a slightly odd time then, because I think post-covid and then I think Matt Hancock was there, so there was a bit more controversy, but this year there was no controversy really."

Seann recalled a tense moment, admitting: "Yes, you're right, I remember being stood in between Boy George and Matt Hancock having an argument - that was very tense."

Seann also shared that he remains close with Sue Cleaver and Boy George, even exchanging texts with the singer recently, though he joked that the contents were too risque for broadcast.

Ranvir persisted: "But no little, 'How are you doing', from your old friend Matt?" Seann finally let slip: "He's not in the group? " before quickly adding: "Ohh no what have I done."

Seann backtracked: "Maybe he is. I don't know." Ranvir suggested they change the subject, as the comedian concluded: "I'm not the first to say that."

"Did he exit himself or did the admin go in an get rid of him?" questioned Lorraine's substitute presenter. "Oh no, I'm not getting involved. Maybe he is back in the group," a visibly uncomfortable Seann responded.

"Back in the room, back in the group, you're backtracking now," the ITV star teased.

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1 and ITVX.
