The FA has in place a set of Anti-Doping Regulations that all Players and other Participants must abide by

Breaching The FA Anti-Doping Regulations can result in a ban from all sport
Checking Medications
Players must check to make sure medication doesn't contain any banned substances
Applying for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE)
Apply for a TUE to use a prohibited substance/method for legitimate medical conditions
Taking Nutritional Supplements
Players should assess the need, risks and consequences before taking any supplement
The Drug Testing Process
Tests can occur at any time or location - such as post match, after training, or at home
