The counter staff was good. Help us to arrange our room near the exit area as we have two elderly people with legs problem. However, sound proof not good. As we can hear a lot of lorries are passed by especially after midnight. So most of us dint sleep well. Bathroom is clean. Water Shower was strong. Bed generally is clean. But red bolster got weird smell.

Very poor self service check-in process. There were no proper directions and guidance. Used the self check machines hoping to check in early, only to found out that all online bookings of hotels need to first Q up at the OTA line for the staff to input your ID in their booking system before you can do self check in. Total time spent waiting at the OTA Q is about 1 hr. Took a Q number of for service counter to help but they were 50 over people in-front of me. As I have child with me, decided to go for lunch. Came back at 3pm to do self check in and no keep showing no room available. Ended up I had to approach the service counter for help. As I have missed my Q number, I approached the supervisor but was told to wait at counter 10 which was not moving. As I saw counter 7 was cleared, I went up and was served by Miss Dyna. I appreciated her outstanding customer service. Knowing that I had booked 2 rooms, she straight away assigned adjoining rooms for me without asking. However, the first assigned rooms weren’t adjoining so we have to return back to counter and approach her. She apologised and re-assigned the rooms to us and this time is correct. Glad to serve by her which makes our day pleasant. As for the rooms, don’t expect too much. I was assigned to level 4 and facing another room windows. The floors weren’t clean as hair, dirt can still be found on floor, so we go to buy slippers. no wifi in the hotels and network in the rooms were poor. Despite having data roaming or even eSIM it was bad. The only plus point was easy accessible. Best to get better rooms if with children. The rooms photos should be updated as is misleading.

I argued with a staff because i knew the room type as i have stayed before. The staff repeatedly said ”sorry maam, we are fully booked.” Classic reply from a receptionist. Then, a staff name Umi came and settle my issue in less than a minute. She looked backed into the records to find my last stay details. She then proceeded to give me the key card. Whats so difficult? Why are they trying to scam us by giving a smaller room? The next issue is regarding breakfast meal. Since i have booked without a breakfast, i then proceed at the counter to purchase breakfast. The staff told me to go up on level 5 to straight purchase at the restaurant. I went and i found they have increased the price and push the price for RM20 extra. I inquired and asked why is it so pricey than before. The staff told me about some quota system and he told me to go to lobby if i wanted cheaper. I was confused why would they sell a different price for in house guest for the same breakfast meal. I went down again n argued n they told me the same thing, after i showed the previous price and they agreed for me to pay the right amount. Imagine the hassle i have to go through because of their poor service. P/s: thanks to Ms Umi for dealing with the issue in less than a minute.

Recommended. Lots of parking. Near to Kea Farm, can go just by walking. Room is big and lot of space. Has view of tea valley. Clean and hygiene. Breakfast included but have to pay rm7 to upgrade to buffet. Breakfast has variety of food like western, local, pastry. Swimming a bit small but water is warm

planned a trip here for my birthday. booked like months ahead. when we got there, they gave us the wrong room. we booked the suite, but we were given a different room catagory. we were upset. contacted the hotel, they said the room we booked is non existent anymore. they have renovated. and that trip.com didn't update their website. we had to pay additional 600 in our local currency for us to get the room that's equivalent to our booking. like it or not. he had to pay coz we didn't have any room and it was already 7pm. reported this case to trip.com customer service (booking reference no ***********), took some time for them to investigate the case, but they were nice enough to refund the additional amount we paid the hotel. tq trip.com for your outstanding professionalism. certainly made up for the mess that weekend. the hotel stay was alright. we had a decent time. tq again guys

Good points - Clean room. Clean bathroom. Bed was comfy. Bedsheets was nice and clean. Bath towels were clean and fluffy. Plenty of lifts. Shower was hot. Breakfast buffet was expected for the price paid. Bad points - Room was small. Had a full length window facing another block of rooms. Unable to open the glass window. Aircon was not cold - woke up a few times feeling hot. Unable to control the aircon. Bath mat was not provided. Carpet in the corridor outside looks like it has not been vacuumed for months. Keycard was a bit difficult to work - had to keep swiping it to open the door.

Thanks for the owner i got upgraded to Whyndam Ion Majestic. So lucky the reception said im the choosen one. The hotel really new and pretty. Service of the hoteliers really great. The breakfast really really nice with lot of varieties. The hotel room so nice have some small pantry. Really enjoy and will go back here again for sure

Check-in with the front desk staff and asked if Genting Rewards points can be accumulated, staff said yes and just need to present the card upon check-out. No receipt was issued for deposit made. Upon check-out, the other staff say need to have the receipt in order to refund the deposit. We said we do not have, staff was unhappy. They also said we cannot accumulate the points on Genting Rewards card as we made the booking through Trip.com. The problem was, the staff that did our check-in also knew we booked through trip.com but still said we could accumulate the points, why tell us a different response upon check-out. They issued us with souvenir in 2 boxes, but all were empty. We returned back the boxes to them and they apologized, gave us 2 boxes to close the loop. How insincere!

The area from this hotel is located not in a resort world area. About 3,4 km distance from Sky Avenue, you need to prepare extra cost for transportation to this hotel 🏨 but the cost of the hotel itself is cheaper. So, it's a good 🤝 deal to stay here :)

Stayed only for one night. On arrival, it was an easy and quick check-in. Big and beautiful lobby area. Rooms are big and have a very comfortable bed. Bathrooms are large with seperate shower with rain shower and includes all toiletries. Good location, surrounded be restaurants and food places are in less than a minutes walk. Mall and cable car station just 10 minutes drive by car. Booked room only, so next day had to pay for breakfast and noticed it was a bit pricey. Overall. love the hotel and would definitely stay again.

This is a new building (M3) under Ion Majestic. The rooms are clean and spacious but not yet fully furnished. However, the strong smell of renovation is noticeable throughout, and the hotel lobby toilet has an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the water flow in the room toilet is slow. Overall, it’s a decent hotel. There is a shuttle bus service to the theme park at hourly intervals, but it needs to be booked and paid for separately for each trip. I suggest reconsidering the 5-star rating, as the hotel does not yet meet that standard.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed here for a night with our family. Overall was okay, the front office staffs were very nice and friendly, the checked in process is basically flawless. The F&B staff were really friendly especially those staffs at the pool area. We enjoyed our stay but the room I stayed in has no items at the mini bar, I called the room service a few times to asked for the items but they just simply sent me a few items despite I was only asking for tea bags. Also the cups was not washed at all, coffee stained was still on the cups, i have to wash it with boiling waster and i can see the water turned brown after I poured it into the cups. Another thing is We asked for an extra bed, but no extra amenities (toothbrush and others) was provided, again I need to call the to provide it. Overall the stay was okay. I think the housekeeping department really need to pay more attention to details and not to mentioned the person who picked up my call when i asked for extra amenities and tea bags was rather unfriendly.

Warm hospitality received from the receptionist Ms Nadia upon my early arrival. She made an effort to fulfil my room preference and my stay was enjoyable. I would like to extend my appreciation to Ms Rajes, a friendly staff, for her kind initiative & guidance during my check-in/out as well. Looking forward to stay in the hotel once again.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. On the first night I noticed that the toilet was plugged. The repairs were not much improved. The room was changed the next morning. The toilet was fine, but the bathroom shower was very slow. The room we checked in was a bit different from the photo we made when booking on trip.com

Strategic location. In front hotel got mall. Only walk 2 mins from hotel. Breakfast super good with much variety to choose. Can improve the registration so that no need to queue for too long. Reminder: need to validate your tngo card at receptionist every time you want to leave the hotel (if driving) to get free parking. If dont, they will charge your card.

The hotel’s beachfront location is ideal for those who enjoy stunning sea views and direct access to the beach. While the property does show signs of aging, it is generally well-maintained and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Initially, I was assigned a room with noticeable humidity issues—likely due to the air conditioning—resulting in a persistently wet floor. However, the staff promptly addressed my concerns and arranged for a room change, for which I am very grateful. The Sampan Bar, a unique feature resembling a boat on the beach near the swimming pool (Block 2), offers a relaxing spot for guests to unwind while watching their children play in the sand. Convenience is another highlight, with a 7-Eleven, Family Mart, McDonald’s, KFC, and Starbucks just a short walk away, providing plenty of food and drink options for guests. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and added convenience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Royale Chulan Cherating Villa, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the staff and services at this resort exceeded my expectations! Without a doubt one of the best resorts in Malaysia and if you're ever in Cherating, THIS is the place to stay! First and foremost, the staff deserves a standing ovation. Their warm welcome and genuine hospitality made me feel like a VIP guest. Whether it was the front desk staff, the buggy drivers, the housekeeping team or even the F&B staff, everyone was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and for that, I am truly grateful. Kudos to Rizam for introducing us this hidden gem. The dining experience at the resort was exceptional as well. The Ocean restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences during my breakfast and dinner. I was particularly impressed with the chef's culinary skills and the waitstaff's impeccable service. Shoutout to Mahdi and Nizar in building a strong service team. Each meal was a delightful journey for the taste buds, and the dining experience added another layer of enjoyment to my stay. However, while the staff and services were outstanding, there is room for improvement when it comes to the resort's facilities. Although the property is well-maintained, some areas appear a bit outdated and could benefit from a renovation. I was told that they have very limited budget provided by the management and the improvement process is quite slow. They don't even have a gym or a large banquet hall which I understand is a requirement for a 5 star resort. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, could use a modern touch to match the high level of service provided by the staff. Additionally, the pool area, though enjoyable, would be even more appealing with updated loungers and a fresh coat of paint. These are my two cents which I hope the management would consider to do as soon as possible in order to maintain this amazing place and their regular guests. Despite these minor facilities-related issues, I wouldn't hesitate to return. The exemplary staff and top-notch service is more than enough to compensate for any facility shortcomings. In fact, I look forward to seeing how the resort evolves in the future, as I believe that with some upgrades, it has the potential to become an even more remarkable tourist attraction. The resort is nicely set up. Lots of trees and those who love nature wld definately love this place. The issue is the staff are mostly new and without much knowledge and not much sure they are properly trained/guided. Some whom are locals, don’t seem to be able to speak proper English. The restaurant is always infested with flies. Be careful of what u eat there. During my few days there for bfast, there were flies everywhere. Flies were dancing here and there on the food and our table. Some of their food is not covered and even their staff saw it but like just cldnt be bothered. Food taste is just ok only. Bicycles for free to use. But not maintained with many spoilt and useable. The room was ok. Spacious n clean. The villa’s pool was a bit dirty. I wonder how often they clean the pool. I understand sometimes leaves and other debris will drop in but it was dirty. Luckily upon my complaint, the staff came quickly to clean it, though wasn’t properly cleaned. The pool’s metal railing steps were moldy. The resort is big with beautiful landscapes. but sadly not properly maintained, not well kept. One can see debris and fallen leaves which were there for many days unattended. They seem to be lacked of staff to do the cleaning or at else, sweep it. It sad to see such beautiful resort to end up like tis.

A very good for families! Went there with my sisters lil family and we had the greatest time! The pool caters to children more than adults. They haves slides and water fountains and bigger than normal. After fun play with the pool we walk to beach. The beach is fairly clean and not too crowded. And, the best is we get to have small puddles when it is low tide. The hotel room is large and comfortable for up to 3 people in a room. Comfortable bed too. The toilet could have been a tad bit cleaner but nothing too concerning. Recommend for families!

Went to kuantan for friend wedding and I chose AV hotel. Clean room, everything is perfect and good. Recommended to everyone. Hotel located at town, around 10-15 minutes from Teluk Cempedak.

I love this place so much! Its a bit far from the Cherating Beach / Ombok Cafe area but this hotel have access of private beach! They even have a main pool and private pool facing the beach along with bean bags! There's also mini pool waterpark which convenient for family, along with children playroom! The room is so comfortable and nice! Will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is very big just the housekeeper don't have much time to deep clean .the hotel toilet full with hairs ..pls ask the housekeeper to maintain the toilet bowl too. Hope there is govt rate for govt servants

Firstly, I have to say, The Kasturi is probably my favourite place in Pahang. I first came here in 2018 - and it made such an impression that I couldn't wait to come back. Came back as soon as PKP was lifted (review here somewhere) and a tad disappointed. Husband booked a night's stay for our 18th wedding anniversary and I have to admit the service has improved by leaps and bounds. Check in was warm and professional - villa is clean and hubby had made arrangements for flowers and some refreshments in the room which was so appreciated by yours truly. Had same villa as previous stay - toilet is still wonky. Hand bidet in indoor shower compartment is still non functional and the fish keropok was left untouched this time (learnt my lesson from last time - pls get new supplier - I am sure there are many more keropok makers who can make better keropok sira) This time however, husband ordered food to be sent to the room - FYI, room service is limited to the asian food selection (not advisable to preorder western dishes as these will end up cold by the time it gets sent to the room) Loved the caprese salad and the fried rice. The seafood fried in batter was above average. The white rice and chicken was too sweet for our liking. Breakfast was served 'unlimited ala carte style' The variety was ok - choice of nasi lemak, western and chinese congee. Nasi lemak - much much better than the last time I was there - but had an issue with the sambal sotong, which I informed the staff. Saw that they offered 'DANISH' as part of breakfast - but we only received toast and baguettes - so I'm not sure if I was confused about the danish being pastries? Barista also needs to learn to make proper latte art. However, the F&B staff - Deedi was extremely friendly and warm. He looked like he knew what he was doing despite being his 6th day at Kasturi - thought I would make a special mention about him. Would I come back for a fourth time? Some improvements have to be made about the upkeep of the facilities in the room and definitely better improvements with the F&B - but Kasturi's one life-saving feature is definitely its location....
