We recently stayed at Hotel Okura in Niigata and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the Shinano River, providing stunning views, especially during sunset. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the JR Niigata Train Station and Niigata Airport, making it a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We particularly enjoyed the variety of dining options available at the hotel, including a French restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests we had. Overall, Hotel Okura Niigata offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niigata.

I recently stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata, and my experience was delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attentive staff. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities were top-notch, and the bathroom was well-equipped with everything I needed. I also appreciated the traditional touches in the room, giving it a refined Japanese atmosphere.

Hotel Okura Niigata is a well-established local hotel. Although the interior decoration is a bit nostalgic, it is very convenient! After crossing the bus line and walking a few minutes, major department stores Isetan are nearby! I originally thought it was very backward, but you can buy everything here. The only thing is that its sightseeing spots are far away. When we were driving, we passed one of the scenic spots, Temple Central Fisheries. If you have great expectations, you can eat very fresh seafood here. If so, you may be a little disappointed! We all agree that unless you are going to pass by it, you don’t need to go to this attraction! On the contrary, our next destination is Echigo-Yuzawa, which is closer to Tokyo and also belongs to Niigata Prefecture! On the contrary, it is a surprise, whether it is a hotel or a tourist destination!

It is friendly, polite and comfortable. It is undeniably old, but that does not mean it is no good, so there is something to be thankful for.
