Android 5.0 Lollipop w/ VoLTE support now rolling out to Galaxy Note 4 on Verizon

Verizon has announced this evening that it is now rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to its Galaxy Note 4 variant. The update carries the build number VRU1BOAF and comes in two parts for Note 4 users. AT&T and Sprint have already updated their Note 4 variants to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The update initially started rolling out in Poland first, back in February.

Android 5.0 Lollipop on the Note 4 brings all the features we’ve come to know and expect. Changes include a refreshed Material Design-based version of TouchWiz, as well as a revamped notification drawer, a new card-based multitasking interface, and support for lock screen notifications. Samsung also added Smart Lock, Do Not Disturb, and slow motion and fast motion camera modes to its Note 4 with this update. Finally, Verizon has taken this update as an opportunity to activate voice over LTE on its Galaxy Note 4.

Verizon customers can manually check for Android 5.0 Lollipop on their Galaxy Note 4 by heading into Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check for Updates. The full change-log is available on Verizon’s website.
