Customer Reviews
A great start to the Google ecosystem!
After getting in a slump over “This Week in Google’s” one-sided politics, I was thrilled to find Alphabet Scoop! Stephen & Abner have done great work on their inaugural episodes. The pair have a wonderful talent to go from strictly reporting on new tech, developments, & rumors, to sharing their biases, and then speculation on the future of Google. And these two are conscious enough to criticize Google in their shortcomings (Ep1: Apple Watch vs the languishing Android Wear). They are not Apple fanboys, by any stretch; they’re simply damned good hosts who are doing their best to cover all the angles they can think of. And it doesn’t stop their: Chrome OS, Fuschia, Android code updates & breakdowns: they’ve really done a lot of hard work and it seems they’re dedicated to making “Alphabet Scoop” a success.
My one criticism, and this is purely subjective, is that the hosts seem a little stiff in their interactions. In time, I think this will get ironed out, but in these first two episodes the pair halfway feel like they’re reading from a script and halfway having a conversation.
Overall a great podcast start, I am excited for the next episode!
Good from A to Z
A welcome member of the excellent 9to5mac network.
Always delayed
The audio episodes arrive so late. By the time they’re released, it’s very old news.
