We signed our biggest deal in Europe, and our first in Retail & Apparel. I could not be prouder of the Multiply Group team who sourced, negotiated and executed this deal for 18 MONTHS! We have always believed that the best is yet to come. Most of the ones who know me have heard me repeat this over the years. Today, we delivered on this promise for our shareholders, for our mother company IHC, and for the company we acquired a 67.91% stake in: TENDAM. This deal will double Multiply’s EBITDA annually post-consolidation. We promised double-digit growth, and we are well on track to deliver. Together with CVC and PAI Partners, we want to support Tendam‘s excellent team in achieving 3 objectives in the short term : 1. Grow Tendam's bottom line organically via geographical expansion, opening of new stores & acceleration of retail sales. 2. Grow the bottom line inorganically by acquiring smaller competitors, investing in ancillary companies and adding new brands to the Tendam platform, already rich with 12 brands and 1800 points of sale. 3. Accelerate the utilization of AI and technology to better understand data, enhance efficiencies in the company, and ensure a better experience for customers. TENDAM is Spain's second-largest apparel group by market share and one of Europe’s leading omnichannel apparel groups, operating 1,800 points of sale in more than 80 markets including Spain, Portugal, France, UAE and Latin America and brands such as Women’secret, Springfield and Cortefiel. This investment represents significant geographical growth and further deepens the Group's presence in consumer-focused businesses. Since 2020, TENDAM has delivered consistent growth quarter after quarter, consolidating its business model in key markets and growing its international footprint.
