The Green March: Shoemart’s Step Towards Sustainability Shoemart launched the Green March just two years ago as part of Landmark Group’s decade-long sustainability drive. Together, we aim to continuously reduce our industry’s carbon emissions and create a positive environmental impact. A significant milestone in this journey was the official opening of Landmark Group’s textile recycling factory at #DWC, showcasing our dedication to sustainability. The Green March initiative reflects Shoemart’s commitment to environmental sustainability by encouraging practices that reduce waste and promote recycling. As part of this initiative, we have introduced the Shoe Takeback program in our #AlGhurair and #Burjuman stores, inviting customers to return used shoes for responsible recycling or disposal. This forward-thinking program aligns with global sustainability goals, helping to minimize the environmental footprint of the footwear industry while fostering community engagement and responsibility. The success of the Green March is driven by the leadership of Dhirendra Kaushik and the support of key team members, including Anna Mathew, Louisa Watson, and Gaurav Shah. Through the Green March, Shoemart is proud to lead the way in environmental stewardship and inspire meaningful change.
