We organised the Alumni Gala Dinner for our Dubai Family Business Management Programme yesterday in Dubai, to celebrate the achievements of the 31 graduates from the programme's first cohort. Here are some highlights from the Viet Nam–UAE Business Forum, which we organised today in Dubai in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Viet Nam and the Embassy of Viet Nam in the UAE. The event was attended by more than 100 government and business figures in the presence of H.E. Phạm Minh Chính, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam; H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade; H.E. Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers; together with several officials, business leaders, and investors from Viet Nam and Dubai. We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Korean Business Council to strengthen economic relations and pave the way for mutually beneficial opportunities between private sector companies in Dubai and the Republic of Korea. The council’s inaugural annual general meeting, which was hosted recently at Dubai Chambers, saw participants identify key priorities and discuss plans for the months ahead, including its upcoming schedule of events. We have successfully concluded our Dubai Chambers Sustainability Week 2024 with the participation of 526 representatives of the business community. The annual initiative featured a series of events exploring the role of digitisation and artificial intelligence in the development of sustainable business practices. Sustainability Week 2024 featured a packed calendar of events including a seminar exploring the impact of AI and digital technologies on sustainability, a special forum to explore innovative ways to develop digital strategies for the circular economy, we hosted the 12th edition of the Arabia CSR and Sustainability Forum, as well as launched a digital training platform to equip the local business community with essential knowledge and skills in sustainability and ESG standards. #DubaiChamberOfCommerce #BusinessInFocus
