A team from Smith & Wesson and Winchester achieved these goals, creating a rimless, 10x22mm round with a .40-inch (10mm) bullet weighing between 105 and 200 grains (gr). This cartridge offers enough stopping power for home defense and concealed carry while being manageable for shooters of various sizes.
