Love it and Hate it
For starters its close to impossible to have consistent play in this. If its not weekly injuries its dumb luck from a terrible opponent. Secondly why cant i see players dev trait when im scouting? Id avoid some of the low star players when recruiting if i knew they wouldn't progress or get better. Third why cant i improve my coach at all? Maybe have a small coach tree in the future so a player can feel they have more control outside of setting basic strategy settings and recruitment of players. Like I should be able to control how good my coach is at developing players as well as see wether players will even develop. Lastly this game snipes you out of players all the time. Three times now i have had over a 1,000 point lead on the second place team and out of nowhere 5 star prospect signs with team down significantly in scouting points or whatever you want to call them. Its annoying and defeats the entire purpose of having that ranking system in the game. If im #1 and have that large of a lead with an 80 percent lock i should not loose out on that player.
Even though this was filled with things i dont like i do want to give the Devs credit for creating a truly free to play, fun, football simulation game. Only one out there so take my complaints with a grain of salt because the game is still awesome.
Good game but has flaws
This is definitely the best CFB simulator game on the App Store. However, recruiting is bugged. If you start off as a small school you have to focus on a handful of lower recruits and just one or two 4-5 star ones. This is what I did but I lost my 5 star recruit to another school even though I had a 300 point lead on the next school. This entirely frustrating as I wasted a large portion of my recruiting time on this player that by the points should have joined my team. Is there some other factor that we are not seeing? If so I’d like to know what the reasoning was for this player to not choose my school. Also, scouting and recruiting time should be different just as it was in the NCAA games. It would also be nice if we could edit all the teams outside of the a dynasty. That way we can use the teams we create for any dynasty we create and not have them trapped in one. Lastly, we should be able to have more game planning abilities that determine the result of a game. Maybe have sliders for the amount of passing vs running and how aggressive vs cautious you play on offense and defense. Otherwise, the game is good and helps fill the void left by the NCAA football games.
Great Game
This is a fantastic game that definitely fills the void left by the NCAAF games. Very enjoyable and easy to understand. However, I have a few slight suggestions that I think would go a long way in making the game even better. 1) Have a sort of Hall of Fame or records section for both your team and the league to keep track of stand out players/seasons. 2) Add a call back all option in recruiting. Especially in the later weeks when you’ve figured out everyone’s high value calls, this would be very useful and save a lot of time compared to manually calling each player back. 3) It would be really cool if you could improve your school’s attributes like stadium atmosphere and academics over time like you can improve prestige. Perhaps this could be done by having the option to build a new stadium somehow (perhaps at the cost of scholarships for a period of years) or setting a minimum gpa requirement for your team. In recruiting you could only focus on players that fit that requirement or, for players already on the team, assign them a tutor, etc. Just some suggestions that I think would improve an already fantastic game.
