Alongside M. Ángel Martín Bautista, Deputy Assistant Director of Planning and Digital Governance at the Ministry, SICPA will deliver a presentation on the benefits of digital travel credentials and the EU digital wallet, which will be launched in 2026.  These digital credentials will have a major impact on the digital transformation of the society and in particular on the travel industry. SICPA will be accompanied by Visit Benidorm, the Spanish Tourism Digitalisation Lab, member of the EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) to test Digital Travel Credentials (#DTC) for efficient and secure border crossing or check-in at your preferred airline or hotel. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀   Digital Identity: SICPA has been invited to share its expertise at the meeting organised by the Swiss authorities e-ID team and hosted by the Office fédéral de la justice OFJ on February 6, 2025.   SICPA and Matteo Marangoni, Senior Software Engineer in Digital Identity at SICPA, will be part of a panel of experts joining this participative meeting, during which SICPA will present its work and learnings in practical #interoperability across different decentralised identity ecosystems.    With the title “Interoperability Profiles in Practice: Leveraging Verifiable Credential Metadata and Trust Registries,” we will go through our recent participation and interoperability work in the International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s latest end-to-end Proof of Concept (PoC) and the newest IATA 2025 PoCs that will be presented this February at the World Data Symposium (#IATAWDS) in Dublin. Our interoperability efforts in the #EUDIwallet Large Scale Pilots (LSP) EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) and the Potential interoperability event will be detailed.   Matteo will deep dive into our learnings from emerging standards, including the IETF’s SD-JWT-based Verifiable Credentials (SD-JWT VC) and #OpenID’s latest Implementer’s Draft for Verifiable Credential protocols, showcasing strategies to narrow down specification and limit optionality via an interoperability profile to accelerate adoption. He will also explain how a governance layer is needed to address questions such as whether an issuer is trusted and whether an entity is authorised to issue specific credential types. 🎄 SICPA 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿 🎁 This year, SICPA & its employees proudly participated in a charity event organised in collaboration with the Vaudoise aréna, the Lausanne Hockey Club Group, and ARASPE (Association Régionale d'Action Sociale de Prilly et Echallens).   SICPA employees, who are actively involved in their local communities, donated Christmas gifts to children whose parents are on social assistance in the region. This initiative is a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the joy of giving.
