🎉 The Innovation competition of the 🇩🇪 government for 🇪🇺 📲 digital identity wallets enters final round with #Lissi GmbH Berlin, 11.12.2024 - We have qualified for the final phase of the EUDI-Wallet prototype competition organised by the German Federal Agency for Leap Innovation (SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen). The competition promotes innovative solutions for the implementation of the European #eIDAS 2.0 regulation. “We are proud to have once again convinced the jury and to be part of such a prestigious programme. We would like to express our gratitude to the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community and SPRIND for the professional and transparent organisation of the competition and the public consultation process. The international attention for the German approach underlines its character as a role model in Europe”, says Helge Michael, co-founder and CEO of Lissi. Lissi specialises in the development of the EUDI-Wallet Connector, an application that enables organisations to interact seamlessly with the German EUDI-Wallet and all future certified wallets in Europe. The focus is on supporting regulated sectors such as banking, insurance and telecommunications as well as the public administration. The connector enables the issuance and verification of digital credentials, making it easier for organisations to comply with regulatory requirements and use digital wallets efficiently. The German Wallet, announced for 2025, will for the first time allow citizens to carry their ID card securely and digitally on a mobile device. Lissi is already enabling organisations to prepare for the connection and integration. "The participation of Samsung and Google in the challenge underlines the global strategic importance of our work," adds Helge Michael. With the EUDI-Wallet Connector, Lissi ensures that organisations are prepared for the requirements of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation and the megatrend of digital trust with identity wallets.

  • 📢 EWC RFC Version 2.1 is now LIVE! 🌟We are delighted to announce the release of EWC RFC Version 2.1, marking a key milestone in the European Digital Identity Wallet Consortium Large-Scale Pilot (EWC LSP). This update strengthens interoperability within the EU Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem and prepares for ITB tests, set for completion by 20 January 2025, ahead of LSP Phase 2. ✷ What are EWC RFCs? RFCs (Request for Comments) are specifications that take an opinionated stand on the standards and protocols that apply for wallet providers, issuers, and verifiers to ensure they are technically compliant and interoperable across various implementations at scale via the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB). ✷ What's New in RFC Version 2.1? This latest release introduces key updates and new RFCs to enhance wallet functionality and conformance, published here: https://lnkd.in/e7aVAHNs. The following are the newly introduced and updated RFCs. 1️⃣ RFC-001: Issue Verifiable Credential v2.0 – Updates for OpenID4VCI draft 13. 2️⃣ RFC-003: Issue PID v1.1 – Enhanced guidance for secure digital identity attributes. 3️⃣ RFC-004: Wallet Unit Attestation v1.0 – Framework for wallet authenticity and compliance. 4️⃣ RFC-005: Issue LPID v1.0 – Standards for validated organisational identities. 5️⃣ RFC-007: Payment Wallet Attestation v1.0 – Protocols for wallet-banking SCA integration. 6️⃣ RFC-100: Interoperability Profile v2.0 – Guide for ITB alignment. 🚀 Why RFCs Matter By taking an opinionated stand towards key protocols needed for a successful Large Scale Pilot (LSP), the EWC RFCs effectively ensure interoperability at scale, enabling digital wallets to function seamlessly across borders and organisations. This collaborative framework keeps wallet providers, issuers, and relying parties aligned with EU Digital Identity standards, paving the way for a more connected and trusted digital future. 🔗 Call to Action: All EWC partners – Wallet Providers, Issuers, Verifiers – start implementing now! 📖 Read the full release notes and access the approved RFCs here: https://lnkd.in/e8ypcjqu Let’s build a secure, standardised, scalable digital identity future in Europe! 💡💪 #EWCRFC #DigitalIdentity #Interoperability #EUDigitalWallets #Innovation
