Tourism is a cross-cutting activity that can contribute to the three dimensions of sustainable development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and thus contributes to the resilience of regions, but should also be resilient in itself. 🎉 Today's 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 aims to highlight the need to promote resilient tourism development to cope with shocks, taking into account the vulnerability of the tourism sector to emergencies, global challenges and changes. It is also a call to action to develop national strategies for post-disaster recovery, including through public-private cooperation and diversification of activities and products. 💪 In the work of Alpine Pearls, we are actively committed to making tourism more sustainable and resilient, for example in the areas of tourism mobility, youth participation, rural development, climate protection and adaptation to climate change or governance. #tourism #resilience #sustainability #development #SDGs

The #BeyondSnow project is always present in our pilot community and is a linked topic at the local winter events 📆📌 We are very pleased about the broad interest and also the wonderful support of the local stakeholders, who we were able to engage in a broad participation process and who are an active local voice for the project. In recent months, the project was presented for example at the local Christmas market, the International Sled Dog Race and the Erztrophy Ski Mountaineering Race incl. ISMF World Championships for Masters in Werfenweng. 🤯 We are now already in the final year of the project! And there will be some more interesting and engaging activities on resilient destination management and climate change adaptation. #projects #tourism #events #interreg | Werfenweng Tourismus

The (happy) end of #ReactiveYouth is there 🎉😭 In the last two weeks, we have been busy with two events in the municipality of Werfenweng and Stadtgemeinde Oberndorf bei Salzburg, at which we had the pleasure of presenting the final project results of Reactive Youth. These events provided a fantastic opportunity to present the three project’s key outputs and materials and engage in discussions about how these outputs can be implemented in future initiatives to strengthen youth participation in rural areas. Great to have diverse backgrounds of local organisations on-site and to speak with three mayors and other supportive representatives of the municipalities, the youth centre, social and sports associations, regional management and tourism DMO like LEADER Flachgau-Nord and Werfenweng Tourismus, cable car company and accommodation provider - and young people. In the topics of rural development, local identity and youth engagement the cooperation of all stakeholders and the whole community is very precious. We are excited to see how our Alpine Pearls members and other regions in Europe will implement these results and create a lasting impact in their communities! 🙏 Let’s ensure that young voices are not just heard but actively shape the future! #AlpinePearls #Erasmus+ #ReactiveYouth #YouthEngagement #RuralDevelopment | Neo Sapiens | Polygonal | Pista Mágica
