🚨 BBMRI-ERIC’s joint Management Committee and Assembly of Members meeting recap. 🌍 The past few days in Vienna were filled with meaningful discussion and forward-thinking collaboration as we planned delivery of BBMRI-ERIC’s 2025-2027 Work Programme. This Work Programme represents how BBMRI-ERIC will continue to develop core services as well as the implementation of the first three years of our 10-Year Roadmap. The overall goal is to further align our efforts and moving in the same direction towards #OneHealth. 🗣️ Over the 3-day meeting, BBMRI-ERIC’s headquarter team, the National Node Management Committee, and Assembly of Members delegates came together to plan to meet strategic objectives and foster innovation through breakout sessions.

📣 Today is #RareDiseaseDay, a moment to raise awareness and support people living with a #RareDisease, along with their families and carers. 📹 To mark the day, we're proud to share a special video from the ERDERA National Mirror Group Austria featuring also Eric Vermeulen, Chair of BBMRI-ERIC's Stakeholder Forum. Eric highlights the importance of #PatientInvolvement and #biobanking in advancing research for rare diseases. 🔬 BBMRI-ERIC is an active participant in the European Rare Disease Research Alliance (ERDERA). 🔵🟧 BBMRI-ERIC is featured in an article by the EU Science, Research and Innovation #HorizonMagazine titled: 💡Biobanking on health: Sharing biological samples and data to build a healthier future 💡 🤝 The article spans the bridge between the perspective & experiences of an individual patient and the global, strategic view that together help successfully tackling health challenges for the benefit of the whole society. ❝Jens Habermann, BBMRI-ERIC's DG, emphasises the role and potential of interconnected biobanks in the article as follows: “The climate crisis, air pollution, water pollution, food quality – these things are all interconnected and all impact human health.
