How do we accelerate the transition to climate-neutral, sustainable and equitable cities? At the Sustainable and Climate-Neutral Cities for an Inclusive and Equitable Urban Future conference in Rome, we tackled this question head-on! 💡 Yesterday, we hosted an interactive workshop to refine our strategic roadmap. Second day of the event organized by ENEA, the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (CNR-Imaa) Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and Urban Europe Research Alliance, entitled “Research Alliances For Climate-Neutral, Sustainable And Equitable Urban Communities” at the National Research Council in Rome. In the framework of Congress, the afternoon session for 26th february focus ed on advancing research and strategic roadmaps for urban sustainability. This interactive session focused on refining the DUT Roadmap, a key strategic document guiding the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership toward climate-neutral cities. The session begun with an opening address by Orsolya Küttel (FFG and Strategic Coordination of the DUT Partnership), who provided insights into the Roadmap's objectives and the significance of its upcoming update. The DUT Roadmap serves as a long-term vision and guidance framework for the partnership, ensuring alignment with both national and European policies. Following this, a warm-up and introduction (16:10-16:30) set the stage for discussions on urban adaptation challenges and innovative solutions.
