🚨 Justice for Poisoned Wildlife in France In 2020, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, a French farmer faced trial for using poisoned bait that led to the deaths of two birds of prey. After years of monitoring his poultry farm, authorities discovered poisoned remains coated in a "blue product," later identified as the banned toxin Carbofuran. 🚨 Tragic Poisoning caused by Deadly Mixture of Banned Chemicals 🚨   Molly, a springer spaniel, tragically died, and Poppy, a cocker spaniel, became ill after consuming a deadly "cocktail of poisons" during a walk in northern England, on 23 April 2020. Tests revealed that the dogs had been exposed to a deadly mixture of chemicals including bendiocarb, alphachloralose and the banned pesticides carbofuran and isofenphos, and that this was the likely cause of death. This unusual combination of substances has been seen associated with a number of bird of prey persecution incidents in the area in recent years. North Yorkshire has the highest rate of wildlife poisoning in the UK, and these poisons may have been left out to target birds of prey. Molly's family shared: “We took the dogs for a walk up to Two Stoops and on the way home Poppy started being sick. Then we got down the garden path and Molly started twitching... We thought it must have been something they’d eaten so we took them straight to the vets. About an hour later we got the call to say that Molly had died. One minute she was a lovely, bubbly spaniel and then she was gone, in a heartbeat. 📢 Stay vigilant. 🚨 SHOCKING: Farmer Poisoned Wildlife Despite Causing No Harm! 🚨   2023, France. Farmer was judged for poisoning and killing 3 red kites, a common buzzard, and a fox. The alarm was raised when a red kite, tracked by a GPS logger from the LIFE EUROKITE Project, hadn’t moved for several days. This bird was later found alive in a cage at the farmer’s home. He used chicken baits laced with Carbofuran, a poison banned in France since 2008. Despite admitting none of these animals caused harm to his livestock, two red kites and the buzzard died, while a third red kite was taken to a care center. ❗ Help us protect wildlife! 🚨Unprecedented mass #poisoning of birds in Serbia 🇷🇸 Near Nakovo, #Serbia, more than 800 lifeless birds were found scattered across the area. Among the casualties were at least 434 Rooks and 373 Jackdaws, both protected species. A local beekeeper, first found the birds as he walked near his bee hives, fearing a repeat of past mass poisonings in the area. On March 2, employee from BirdLife Serbia - Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia swiftly alerted authorities, leading to an investigation on the scene. Tragically, around 800 birds were found dead, underscoring the tragic impact of toxic practices in local agriculture. ❌Environmental degradation poses serious risks for both wildlife and human health.
