🎡 I'm thrilled to share that I had the opportunity to visit our London office just opposite Paddington station. This visit was particularly significant as it allowed me to connect with our colleagues in the UK. Being in such a strategic location and meeting Paddington Bear is always a pleasure. Did you know that our partnership with Network Rail in the UK dates back to 2003? It was then that Network Rail chose Kontron Transportation as its partner to deploy GSM-R across Britain’s public rail network. This long-standing relationship is a testament to our commitment and Network Rail's trust in us. 🚄 Faster, safer and smarter - FRMCS is the key enabler for rail digitalization and will help to bring improvements in terms of safety, efficiency and innovation. As a driving force in the definition and specification of FRMCS, Kontron Transportation is closely involved in several standardization working groups and European research projects🚀. The aim is to define, develop and bring to market a future-proof modern communication system based on 5G technology which addresses todays as well as future railway requirements and is able to act as successor for GSM-R. The key attributes of FRMCS include higher flexibility and adaptability, increased capacity and throughput, improved security and resiliency for voice, data and video communication services. As such FRMCS is enabling the shift towards smart connected transportation systems perfectly suited to meet the demands of modern and safe rail operations, including train control and automation, to achieve economical and climate targets. Michael Mikulandra is Head of Products at Kontron Transportation and belongs to the leading experts in Europe in the FRMCS domain. 🛤️Montigny - Paris Area: Good morning, I arrived safely in Paris yesterday. It was a long, beautiful journey by train. First I went to Vienna, packed a few things and then I went straight on to Paris.   🌄🌅I love traveling by train. You can see the beautiful scenery, get some great work done, relax a little in between and have a good coffee served by the board service.   🛋️Today was my first day at the Kontron Transportation Office in Montigny. A big thank you to all my colleagues who made me feel so welcome and even gave me a small office. I hope they'll take me out for lunch today🥗.   I feel at home here and can now prepare for my next event: the UIC global FRMCS conference 2024 - November 19-20, 2024 in Paris. Will I meet you there?
