I am an Argentinian living in Australia. I arrived at Sydney Airport on an October morning in 2019 — with two suitcases and a smile.
I never imagined that five years later, I would be returning to the same sunny city, but this time, as a representative of A.I. LAMB at IMARC 2024, Australia's largest mining event.
Looking back on my experience at IMARC, I ask myself: Coincidence or destiny?
Here's proof:
The ALABC Breakfast
↳ The day before IMARC, I was invited as a representative of Pitcrew AI to the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) breakfast.
By chance, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Peru's Minister of Mining, Rómulo Mucho.
↳ We discovered we both know Daniel Bosque from Argentina. Coincidence or destiny?
But there's more...
↳ On my other side was Daniela Sarmiento from Sattel Chile.
↳ She invited me to a private breakfast for Latin American women in mining, hosted by the Cámara Chilena Australiana de Comercio (Auscham).
There I met remarkable women like @Natalia Goroño and Chris Gibbs Stewart.
As an expat, this opportunity felt so right.
↳ I was checking off a big item in my bucket list. Having a circle of women who are going through similar paths.
↳ Again, coincidence or destiny?
At the expo, everything went perfectly.
With AI LAMB, we decided that instead of bringing case studies and brochures, we would bring our clients along, so they could share firsthand the impact of working with AI LAMB.
The response was phenomenal.
I can't express enough gratitude for the group of people I have the joy to work with and I'm proud to work with companies creating a sustainable and safer future for mining today.
Special mentions to:
Tim Snell and Eli Robertson of Pitcrew AI, Tony Sprague and Vineeth Keralakumar from MasterMined Innovation, Josh Conroy, Jack Forster , and Brent Wijnberg from smartlox
You made this experience fruitful and unforgettable.
Huge thanks to Mirza Kozarcanin for being an unstoppable closer, and to Steven Fletcher, Laura Padrotta, and Reeve Cameron Avila for the constant support.
To everyone who visited us at the AI LAMB booth at IMARC—thank you! And to those who didn't, see you next time. Don't miss out!
PS: Don't miss the last photo with the merch we gave away! Obviously, we have none left, the networking game at IMARC was strong.
