This International Women’s Day, we celebrate progress while recognising that women’s health equity is a societal issue – one that requires action every day. That’s why we’re proud to March Forward as this year’s Principal Partner of the Mother's Day Classic Foundation’s Mother's Day Classic, building on eight years of unwavering support for women’s health. Together, we’re driving prevention and promotion-based initiatives that empower women to lead healthier, longer, better lives. And with funds raised supporting breast and ovarian cancer research, we’re creating a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. Because when women thrive, society does too.

As a proud partner of Future2 Foundation, AIA Australia was delighted to support the recent Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) Sydney Metro Community INSPIRE International Women’s Day 2025 Lunch last Thursday hosted at Doltone House. The event raised nearly $5,000 for Future2’s grants program. We were thrilled to have AIA Ambassador Dr. Jaime Lee deliver the keynote speech. During her presentation, Dr. Lee asked everyone to create a big circle within the room and together they completed an embodiment practice, collectively doing a "March Forward Together". As a respected medical doctor and public health specialist, Dr. Lee’s insights into health and wellness align with AIA’s mission to promote healthier, longer, better lives. We’re proud to have her as part of our ambassador team, contributing to our shared vision of empowering individuals to live their best lives.

At AIA Australia we celebrate the rich diversity of people who live in Australia and make it the vibrant, unique and wonderful country it is today. In line with this, over the last few weeks, we have been celebrating the Lunar New Year with our employees as well as some of our advice partners. Our AIA Social Club kicked off the 2025 year with a Lion Dance in the office and then we followed up the next week with an event with our advice partners which featured a Lion Dance, as well as a “Lou Hei” salad tossing for prosperity. This year is the Year of the Snake, which symbolises letting go of old habits and patterns embracing innovation - 2025 is the year of reflection, strategy, growth and transformation. In recognition of this, we look forward to continuing to empower our customers, and the broader community to help make Australia the healthiest and best protected nation in the world. Serene Yeo

We're releasing today our AIA Vitality Zones report that uncovers the locations where Aussies are living up to eight years longer. There are 45 Australian local government areas (LGAs) where people are leading healthier, longer and better lives. We're calling these areas 'AIA Vitality Zones' because they represent our vision for what healthy living looks like in practice. The data shows that residents in the AIA Vitality Zones live up to eight years longer than the national average, have lower rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, and enjoy more fulfilling lives. Learn more about the AIA Vitality Zones and get inspired to lead a healthier, longer, better, life. https://lnkd.in/gh6A_thm

Our Reconciliation Working Group members recently took part in a weaving workshop with Ngarrindjeri Artist Emma Stenhouse. Emma passed on to us the craft of coil weaving, which has been passed down by a long line of women in her family. We are collectively working on a weaving to display in our office, that includes grasses foraged from Emma’s home, and raffia hand-dyed “AIA red” by Emma’s mum. Emma told us how Aboriginal women would weave their thoughts and stories into their work; our Working Group members will continue to work on our weaving each time we meet to talk about how we can have a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of First Nations people and communities. Stay tuned for more, as we grow in confidence with our newfound craft! Learn more about our Reconciliation Action Plan at https://lnkd.in/gh258_5W

Our employees play an important role in supporting our customers when they need us most, and we want to ensure that they are feeling well when doing this. Our employees have access to our science-backed, health and wellbeing program, AIA Vitality, and can also access a range of prevention-focused initiatives such as free or discounted health checks.
