What an incredible last week we had where we were thrilled to host ~20 wealth advisors and family offices from Australia and New Zealand at the AIPX Tech and Alts Summit in California, starting with a tech day in San Francisco with Cota Capital, followed by three days at the CAIS Alternatives Summit in LA! We started the week with Cota Capital diving into the future of AI, discussing the improvement of its reliability and the belief that it could achieve PhD-level intelligence in five years. We also heard about Cota's 40+ years’ experience investing through super cycles and the focus for investing in "net-new" opportunities within the US enterprise technology sector, one of the most exciting investment opportunities we are seeing with the enormous tailwinds driven by insatiable demand from all companies across all sectors to adopt new technology. For our next stop, the CAIS Summit brought together a truly inspiring lineup of speakers - kicking off with a hard-hitting geopolitical discussion with Mike Pompeo (R) and Leon Panetta (D). The former CIA Directors and Secretary of States debated on the complexities of today's global geopolitical climate and discussed the importance of having a strong U.S. democracy and military to address global conflict. Over the course of the three days we heard from some of the largest and most respected institutional alternative assets managers like The Carlyle Group, Stonepeak, Schonfeld, Apollo Global Management, Inc. and StepStone Group, as well as amazing sessions from Eldridge Industries and Arctos, leaders in Sports, Media and Entertainment investing. A highlight from the group was hearing directly from the sports and entertainment royalty Serena Williams and Kevin Costner - no topics were off the table.
