Casual employment opportunities with Forensic Foundations International. FFI is an Australian based forensic training and consultancy company. The Management and Staff of Forensic Foundations International are committed to and focused on supporting the justice system as a whole and the individuals involved within the system, through the provision of flexible and fit-for-purpose forensic training, quality management, proficiency testing (complying with ISO 17043) and consultancy services. In addition to our permanent staff, we have a pool of ‘Discipline Specific Experts’ (DSE) who are involved in a range of training and quality projects. Projects include: ·      development and assessment of proficiency tests ·      assistance to laboratories developing quality management systems include application for accreditation ·      quality auditing ·      discipline specific training including technical aspects, quality issues (inc. validation & verification) and statistics (inc. probabilistic genotyping, kinship analysis) ·      legal training. Time commitment ranges from days to months per year. Salary is negotiable and remote working is available. 🔬 I am thrilled to have presented my research at the ANZFSS Forensic Science Forum! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other researchers and learn about the latest advancements in forensic science. Thankyou to Australian & New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) - WA Branch for hosting a great day. 💊 Sharing my work on the role of prescription medication in drug facilitated sexual assault was a privilege, and I'm grateful for the chance to contribute to the conversation and raise awareness about this important issue. The forum featured a wide range of research from across the state, and it was inspiring to see the diverse perspectives and innovative approaches. It was an honour to be one of the many representatives of the school of MMFS at Murdoch University and ChemCrimLab at the event. Overall, it was a valuable and insightful experience. A slightly belated post but was very excited and honoured to be awarded “Highly Commended Oral Presentation” at the Australian & New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) - WA Branch Forensic Forum last Friday. I presented some preliminary findings from my PhD, amongst a varied scientific program covering all aspects of forensic science. It’s been a few months of work putting together this event along with the rest of the organising committee and was great to see everything come together on the day!
