PROJECT THROWBACK: Dareton Fibreglass Pump Station, NSW In 2019, AQUATEC designed and constructed a fibreglass pump station to support our partner - Waters Excavations - in completing a large sewer upgrade in Dareton, NSW, for Wentworth Shire Council, ensuring the project was delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The Dareton infrastructure upgrade involved installing a new 5-kilometre-long rising sewer main, extending a gravity sewer, demolishing the existing treatment plant, and installing a sewer pump station to service future growth in the area. The scope of works included the design and construction of: - 1 x WSAA approved, one-piece 2.2m diameter x 7.25m deep, heavy-duty fibreglass pumping chamber, complete with dual heavy-duty submersible pumps, integral valve chamber, and mechnical fit out including all required valves - 1 x free-standing switchboard to control the pump station, thus providing an end-to-end solution of design, civil, mechanical and electrical works, with Aquatec technicians attending site to assist with the civil installation and full commissioning of the project. PROJECT UPDATE: Stage 1 Parkes Special Activation Precinct (SAP) Enabling Works – Design & Construct of Sewer Pump Station Parkes, home to the National Logistics Hub, covers an area of 4,800 hectares in the Central West region of NSW. It is situated at the only junction of Australia’s two rail spines, the Inland Rail and the Trans-Australian Railway. It is also home to the NSW Government's first Special Activation Precincts (SAP), which will activate significant regional economic development. AQUATEC partnered with Fulton Hogan and Beca to design and construct the sewer pump station and associated components for Stage 1 of Parkes SAP. Bright blue skies and calm waters provided AQUATEC with the perfect backdrop for the commissioning and handover of the Muriel Henchman Park sewer pump station. We partnered with Ertech to design, build, and commission the precast concrete pumping station to City of Gold Coast's standards. The pump station comprised of the following: » duty/standby pumps » mechanical fit-out » electrical switchboard » telemetry » odour control. The $19 million revamp, part of the Spit Masterplan implementation, improved access to the Broadwater and the Seaway, supporting use by recreational and commercial vessels and community organisations. It was led by the Gold Coast Waterways Authority, with funding provided by the Queensland Government, the City of Gold Coast, and the Gold Coast Waterways Authority. #wastewater #manufacturing #waterengineering #waterways

Like Rubicon Water, we were also honoured to host His Excellency, the Consul General of Egypt, members of Global Victoria, the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Rubicon Water and the Greater Shepparton City Council on a tour that showcased world-class approaches to water and food sustainability in Regional Victoria. The delegation visited our manufacturing facilities in Shepparton to see firsthand the quality and excellence of our products. Our guests showed particular interest in how our innovative pressure sewer solutions can assist in navigating capacity issues in gravity wastewater infrastructure.
