What remarkable journeys these two wonderful young women have been on. Jas and Lilly were drafted to Port Adelaide FC and Brisbane Lions in the 2024 AFLW National draft! Jas, comes from a big sporting family; one of 12 talented siblings, she dominated for Gippsland Power across 2024, representing Victoria Country and the Under 20s All Star teams on her way to the draft. In a fairytale finale, she finds herself drafted to the club she grew up supporting. Lilly is a Brisbane Lions academy graduate who was part of the AFLW National Academy pathway, she also represented Queensland in the National Championships before starring at the 2024 AFLW National Combine. After a largely injury interrupted season, she dazzled across all key athletic testing disciplines to power her way into draft contention. Enrichd Group

Jacob Bauer recently delivered an impressive performance in Richmond’s match against Hawthorn at the MCG, drawing commendation from AFL legend Matthew Richardson. Richardson highlighted Bauer’s fearless playing style and exceptional aerial skills, stating, “He gives a contest, and that would be the number one thing I like about him. His ability to fly at the ball and read the play well makes him a natural forward.” As Jacob continues to develop, he is poised to play a pivotal role in Richmond’s forward strategy. His promising talent and strong performance underscore his potential as a key player for the team. Keep an eye on this emerging star!

Awesome initiative Enrichd Group
A huge day yesterday for Enrichd Group. Alongside NSW Premier Chris Minns, Minister for Sport Steve Kamper, Alyssar Narey and Central Coast Mariners Football Club, we are thrilled to launch our latest project ‘Onside With the Mariners’ on the Central Coast. A community impact initiative addressing gender-based violence supported by a $1 million grant from the NSW Government’s Office of Sport. Enrichd has been involved in everything from ideation to delivery and outcomes of the program. The Central Coast consistently ranks among the highest regions in New South Wales for incidents of domestic and family violence, and when we spoke with the community, it was clear that a program like this was needed. ‘Onside With the Mariners’ is a primary prevention initiative, using football as a conduit to foster discussions about healthy relationships, respect, and conflict resolution among secondary school students in the region. Co-designed by Enrichd with national A-Leagues premiers, the Central Coast Mariners and the NSW Department of Education, in partnership with the University of Newcastle, ‘Onside With the Mariners’ addresses the devastating impact of domestic and family violence and aligns directly with the NSW Department of Education’s PDHPE 7-10 Syllabus outcomes in order to educate students on the importance of healthy relationships, promote respect and empathy, foster positive behaviours, and create safe environments. Another great example of how the positive power of sport can be harnessed to influence social change and create healthy communities. Enrichd's goal is to assist 2.6 million Australians with positive and sustainable health and wellbeing programs. This initiative brings us one step closer to that goal. Proud of all involved. It's going to be fun watching this man fly around the MCG!
Can't comprehend how proud I am of this young man. Jacob Bauer has unique story of resilience, perseverance and a never give up attitude that inspires me on the daily. His super mum, Jody, raised 3 boys by the age of 24 as a single mother. They moved houses around New South Wales about 17 times as Jacob grew up. After going through the Sydney Swans academy program, cut twice and undrafted, Jacob started full-time work to support his mum. I met a steely eyed, determined young man back in 2021, who just wanted to make his mum proud. He made a last minute decision to pack his life in a little suitcase and move to South Australia to chase a dream most people had told him was impossible. A whirlwind three years have passed, with numerous setbacks, from the passing of his late father from motor neurone disease, to personal injury setbacks and struggling for form and consistency. One thing always sticks with me; Jacob's self-belief, dedication and attitude towards success. He'd often say to me "It's alright mate, I know I belong out there, I've just got to keep coming no matter what". He finally got his chance a few weeks ago, and he took it with both hands. He is a joy to watch on the field; however, I'm beyond proud and taken aback by this young man's attitude, self-awareness and willingness to push himself past his comfort zone off it. His vulnerability and openness surrounding his mental health and struggles has allowed for him to become the player that he is and we can't wait to see him take another step forward in 2025!
