The State Library is one of my favourite places - and so pleased that Jane Turner-Author Coach and Publisher invited a presentation on the 'how to' of audiobook production at her Saturday event. And what better example to provide than a recent success story - Mark Rosenberg's book, Mastering Hard Conversations. Here - our brilliant audio engineer - Marty Gallagher and I speak with Mark about his experience self-narrating and seeing his audio version reach #1 on the Amazon Hot List for audiobooks, for 3 weeks running! Why did Mark want an audio version of his book? Well, he says, his kids said they would NEVER read it unless it was an audiobook. Thank you Jane and presenter Tim Stackpool - great event.

Thank you so much to the astonishingly talented performers who auditioned for Judy King's upcoming audiobook. It was one of our strongest fields yet! It is a compliment indeed that Judy the author, a decisive, strong forthright woman, took days to decide!Congratulations Nicky Wichelow for winning the role to narrate 'Agnes - a childhood betrayed and reclaimed'. Next step is for Nicky and Judy to meet via Zoom to allow Nicky to get under the skin of the book! Production starts first week of August! 'Agnes' is published by Ginninderra Press, and will be launched in all formats in early October. Triple launch!

A day of recording with SufiraMingara! Yes, it looks serious work - and it is. But the result was joyous. SufiraMingara narrated her own beautiful work - a children's book studded with heart-warming drawings, and messages of such depth and clarity - that we all felt enhanced. We are rushing this one to the distributor ASAP after mastering in didgeridoo, the Kanyini Prayer, Uncle Bob's wisdom and more. Thank you SufiraMingara. And awesome work Marty Gallagher. What an experience for us!
