She brings a diverse background of skills and experiences to her role, having worked in various industries such as IT and real estate. She has proven herself as a leader and a problem-solver, managing operations and quality assurance teams and creating innovative solutions. She also runs her own small business that offers support services to other small business owners. Jenni's passion for wildlife conservation stems from her love of nature and her aspiration to contribute to the well-being of the environment and the community. Jenni has a Certificate IV in Business and an advanced certificate in commerce, which equip her with the knowledge and expertise to run a successful and sustainable organisation.

Meet the Chair of Aussie Wildlife Limited, Jemma exemplifies leadership and dedication across her varied roles. With 14 years at PCYC Queensland, she significantly impacted community engagement and leadership. Now, as CVM's General Manager, she leads strategic and innovative initiatives towards excellence. Beyond her professional achievements, Jemma is deeply committed to societal and environmental wellbeing. Her roles as Deputy Chair at Mind Blank and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors showcase her advocacy for mental health and ethical leadership. Her educational background in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Business, Marketing, and Mental Health provides a unique blend of skills for leadership and community service. As Chair of Aussie Wildlife Limited, Jemma champions conservation, especially through the 'Aussie Wildlife Champions' Education Program, aiming to instill a love and respect for Australia's wildlife in the younger generation. Her career is a testament to her comprehensive approach to leadership and her dedication to making a positive impact on society and the environment.

Meet our Treasurer Caroline Tierney, an accomplished Accountant/Registered Tax Agent/ Mortgage Broker and Financial Expert with a passion for assisting Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Individuals succeed through her dedicated service to the Finance Industry. With a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a proven track record of over 3 decades in the Financial Services industry, Caroline has honed her skills in Financial analysis, Mortgage Markets, through data-driven decision-making. She has successfully traversed the financial arena to develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies for diverse clients, ranging from startups to setting businesses back on the right track. Caroline is a Director of her own company CE Tax Solutions Pty Ltd and she is dedicated to helping businesses thrive in the ever evolving Financial landscape.

My mother's moort (Family) is the Wadjuk, Balardong moort. My matrilineal skin groups are the Manitjimat (white cockatoo) and the Wardongmat (crow). 'Mat 'means 'stock, family, leg'. My people are the Nyungar, from the Southwest of Western Australia (WA). My father's mother is from the Yued people. The Yued moort (family) live on the Nyungar border with my apical grandmother's people on the Southern Yamatji-Amangu, Bundi Yamatji, and Widi Yamatji sides. I am a guest on Nyiyaparli (Aboriginal) Parna (Land) in Newman, representing Aboriginal men who use violence. I have the yuwajula (permission) from the yatilykata (elders) from the Pitjikala and Manyjilyjarra language groups to carry out healing and well-being with these yirna (men). 🐨🍃Welcome to the Aussie Wildlife Limited Board!🦆🌳 Julie Ferguson is a police officer with 31 years of experience in Queensland, where she was born and raised. She currently works in Brisbane, where she leads and supports her team members and engages with the community to prevent and reduce crime. Julie has served on the boards of the Qld Blue Light Association and two Rotary clubs, taking on various roles such as chairperson, secretary, exchange student counsellor and youth leadership ambassador. Julie is skilled at building positive relationships by listening to different perspectives, exploring options, and respecting diverse ideas to achieve positive outcomes. Julie has a clear vision of strategic priorities and how to implement action plans and directions to create synergies. Julie is adept at identifying and solving issues, as well as staying calm and thinking clearly in a crisis. Jemma, a Jack Russell mix, keeps things real at home. Julie adopted her from a rescue group that saved Jemma from a terrible situation. She was malnourished and injured from dog fights. They have a special bond so Julie often wonders who really saved who!

In Helensvale, a Magpie Goose named Maggie embarked on a unique adventure, landing in one of City Venue Management's (CVM) aquatic centers. 🏊♂️🦆 Her arrival caused quite a stir, as staff and visitors alike were amazed to see a goose among the pools and slides. Maggie explored the center with intrigue, her webbed feet padding along the wet poolside, her curious eyes taking in the unusual surroundings. This unexpected visit was a source of amusement and wonder for everyone at the aquatic center. Jemmalee Laing, Chair at Aussie Wildlife Limited and an employee at CVM, was thrilled to learn about this unusual guest at her workplace. It was a delightful coincidence that connected her professional world with her passion for wildlife. 🌟🌿 Meanwhile, Aussie Wildlife Limited, led by CEO Jenni Abbott, known for their commitment to wildlife, welcomed Maggie for a health check. The team ensured she was healthy and ready for release back into her natural habitat. 🩺🍃 The day of Maggie's release was filled with excitement.
