Sydney Harbour is the envy of Australia and the world – a breathtaking testament to our city’s character and history. MEMBER NEWS: Look who took a ride in on SeaLink in Gladstone…. When a goanna found itself in hot water—well, tidal trouble—our quick-thinking SeaLink Gladstone crew stepped in to lend a friend a helping claw! Spotted struggling in the tide near RG Tanna Coal Terminal with no land in sight, the goanna made a beeline for the bow after the vessel slowed. With some expert hook and rescue skills, the deckhand brought the little adventurer safely aboard. The goanna hitched a ride in true VIP style until we reached the island. Though coaxed to return to the rocks, the scaly stowaway decided to dock and roll off the gangway instead. A huge shoutout to the Gladstone team for their brilliant customer service, even for our reptilian mates. Who knew we were in the business of scales and tails transport too? The 36th edition of METSTRADE, the premier global event for marine equipment systems and materials, has achieved record-breaking success in 2024. With attendance peaking on all three days of the trade-only event, welcomed 31,824 visits from 19,779 unique attendees representing 134 countries.
