Are you a health or medical science researcher? With Health Data Australia, the power of clinical trial datasets is at your fingertips. 🤳 The ARDC’s Health Data Australia platform brings together clinical trial datasets from over 72 Australian universities, medical research institutes, clinical trials networks and health services. On Health Data Australia, you can: 1. Search for, discover, and request access to clinical trial datasets.  2. Upload descriptions of your clinical trial data to make them discoverable and useable. You can use secondary data to answer new research questions, compile data and evidence, validate findings, or for education and training purposes. “We’re able to answer new research questions without having to go back and collect data,” said Dr Anna Lene Seidler, who uses Health Data Australia to identify relevant datasets for her research into umbilical cord clamping in premature babies. How does it work? 💭 1. Data owners (e.g. researchers, clinical trialists) upload descriptions of their data (metadata) onto Health Data Australia, which are made available in a searchable online catalogue.  2. Interested researchers access the data by completing an online request form.  3. Once approved by the data owner, researchers will be contacted directly to complete a data sharing agreement. 4. Once an agreement is signed, the data owner will provide access to the data.
