🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the wrAPT Disability Support Coordination + Psychosocial Recovery Coaching event in partnership with BDS Support Services! 🙏 We’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to come together with such a passionate group of service providers and community leaders. Your engagement, insightful conversations, and shared experiences truly made this event a success. A special thanks to BDS Support Services for hosting and creating an environment where collaboration could flourish. It was inspiring to see how we all connected, identified alignments, and explored new ways to strengthen our services for people with disability. As we navigate the evolving landscape of NDIS legislation and its impacts — from planning to spending to compliance — it’s more important than ever to support each other. Together, we’re building stronger, more effective networks that will help improve the lives of those we support. The conversations we’ve had and the connections we’ve made have sparked many exciting opportunities for future collaboration. People with disabilities need opportunities and pathways. While BDS predominantly support people in social and community settings, we believe in providing our clients with opportunities to prepare for employment, and we strongly endorse the work of employers such as Brite and Wallara Australia Limited who are doing great work in the Supported Employment space to help people progress further and to open employment where appropriate. It's great to see the work of the Centre for Social Impact in this space to further understanding and effectiveness in assisting people to achieve their full potential and participate in open employment.

The team at BDS Support Services would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. The past year undoubtedly holds mixed emotions and memories for each of us, and we know it hasn't always been easy for everyone. However, when we come together we find belonging, acceptance, and mutual support in our wonderful community. We are very grateful for each of our participants, their family members, our dedicated team, and a multitude of partners in the broader community. May you find peace and restoration during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2023.
