Blue Diamond & Net Zero Equipment

Construction company Hacer Group adopted the AMPD Enertainer Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to supply a reliable power source for their ‘Assemble’ development in Kensington, Victoria. The site was facing issues with insignificant grid power to operate high-draw power equipment like hoists and concrete pumps.  Blue Diamond Machinery supplied the Enertainer BESS, paired with an 89kVA diesel generator, as a drop-in solution for all onsite power usage. This included operating construction elevators, concrete pumps and site amenities.  Transitioning from diesel to BESS as the primary source of power, the site experienced a massive saving on generator fuel, saving roughly 30,000L of diesel. At $2 a litre, that’s approximately $60,000 of savings in the last 3 months alone. CO2 emissions have also decreased significantly, with these savings expected to grow as the site increases. Utilities infrastructure company Rob Carr Pty Ltd adopted two AMPD Enertainer Battery Energy Storage Systems for a tunnel boring operation for Sydney Water. This type of work requires a significant off-grid power supply, and Blue Diamond Machinery were proud to provide a sustainable alternative to 100% diesel reliance. We provided two synchronised Ampd Energy Enertainers as a combined 900kWh battery energy storage system. This setup replaced 1,250kVA worth of power from diesel generators with just 270kW of optimised cycle charging generators. This resulted in an immediate reduction in fuel consumption and onsite noise pollution, while improving the efficiency of existing equipment. Kapitol Group was contracted to deliver construction of a data centre for Microsoft in Victoria, Australia. They engaged Blue Diamond & Net Zero Equipment to assist with identifying low carbon equipment for use in the build, who in turn recommended the Ampd Energy Enertainer battery energy storage systems (BESS).      Blue Diamond & Net Zero Equipment supplied two Enertainers to power 3x tower cranes on the job. The Enertainers significantly reduced diesel usage, saving an estimated 56,160 litres of diesel, which represents a 61% reduction in fuel consumption. This reduction resulted in approximately 150.5 metric tons of CO2 saved, equating to a 61% reduction in carbon emissions. The implementation of the BESS solution led to a total cost reduction of 18% over the project, factoring in reduced diesel fuel consumption and generator rental costs.    Link to the full case study in the comment beneath this post.
