Here in Queensland, the effects of sun exposure are a year-round issue, but with Winter also fast approaching, the team at RediMed is asking all BNE Enterprise members and Queensland businesses to: PREVENT. DETECT. PROTECT. Influenza costs Australian businesses more than $2 billion every year, with an estimated 1,500,000 workdays lost annually due to the highly contagious illness. If you're lucky enough to escape the flu, you always have another growing health concern to contend with all year round - Skin Cancer. Melanoma is the most dangerous and aggressive type of skin cancer with 18,257 new cases diagnosed and over 1,300 deaths in 2023. If your workers are exposed to sunlight at work – even on an intermittent basis – investing in regular skin checks is critical. Workplace flu vaccinations and skin checks are commonly overlooked as they cost considerable time and money. Which is why RediMed offers its popular combined health and wellness bundle that includes onsite flu vaccinations AND skin checks. What to expect? 🚗 Convenience - we come to you! 🏢 Our onsite clinics are customised to your company’s requirements 💲 Competitive pricing 🌐 Book with ease through our online booking portal 👩⚕️ Experienced & qualified nurses and practitioners 📄 Staff education support and take-home information RediMed's SKINFLU bundle is the most convenient and efficient way to protect your workforce to keep them healthy and productive all year round. Take advantage of their onsite bundle offer in APRIL to receive a 10% discount! Last week we hosted our BNE Enterprise Business Breakfast: Strength in Diversity for QLD Aviation & Tourism at the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. Our special guests Samantha Carlton (Virgin Australia), Jane Dionysius (Brisbane Airport Corporation), Rachel Alaimoana (Flight Centre Travel Group) and Professor Tim Ryley (Griffith University) gave our guests tremendous insights on the art of successfully integrating diversity and inclusion best-practice into the workplace. A key take-away from all panellists was the importance of establishing a strong employee-led platform for cultural change, allowing an organisation's people to share their lived experience in the development and roll-out of diversity and inclusion initiatives. Although our aviation sector has a big journey ahead of itself on achieving better employment outcomes and leadership pathways for women, indigenous, ethnic and gender diverse talent, it's taken significant steps in the right direction. Thanks to our panellists, expertly moderated by Aviation Australia's Rohini D'Souza, as well as our breakfast sponsor Workday (Joe Berryman). Douglas Pye #Aviation #Tourism #DiversityAndInclusion
