Facilitated by Dr Leslie Cannold, When Values Divide is a practical session designed to help you make ethical choices in an area where the stakes are high and the pressure to act is growing. Throughout 2023, the challenge was seeded as social, political and environmental events put our values to the test and saw those tensions continue into the workplace, resulting in the lowest levels of civility and mutual respect ever experienced by 61% of Australians. (Edelman) This session will help answer questions like: ↗ When our values become divided, what can we do to make work a productive and supportive place to come together? ↗ Does the risk of avoiding or minimising interpersonal conflict outweigh the benefits? ↗ When we can’t talk about the world outside of the workplace, what do we stand to lose inside it? ↗ Is there pressure to ‘weigh in’ on social topics and tension if you decide to opt out? 🌟 What's involved? A one-hour online workshop, which uses the unique 'Thought Crunch' format.
