Matilda Mary Fowler Visits the CBD While the CBD was being taken over by a last minute shopping frenzy on Monday 23 Dec, Chamber Sponsor Member CUPRA City Garage Sydney / CUPRA Artarmon was hosting over 200 soccer enthusiasts at their CBD showroom, providing the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with Aussie Matilda Mary Fowler. CUPRA has been the official automotive partner of Football Australia since 2022 and supports the CommBank Matildas as well as Australia's national youth teams. These experiences are fantastic for Matilda's fans but have the added effect of drawing more people into the CBD, increasing the vibrancy of the city and supporting other businesses they might stop into to shop, share a coffee or drink or stay in town to experience a one time a year atmosphere. Thank you CUPRA City Garage Sydney / CUPRA Artarmon and to Johanna Storm Omar Afiouni BSc JP GAICD Sam Coghlan Cathy Dimarchos Kavita Herbert Shelli McAlpine Louise Blair Paul Brasch Tala Chisholm

Christmas in the CBD All over the CBD there are signs of Christmas cheer from trees of all different shapes and sizes, choirs and even a guest appearance by the Matilda's Mary Fowler at CUPRA Garage. A walk around the CBD took in beautiful tree displays at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, 25 Martin Place, The Langham Hotel, Sydney and The Four Seasons Sydney which also presented The Sydney Girls Choir - and the Martin Place Xmas tree accompanied by The Salvation Army Choir. Not to forget the beautiful story of A Very Wombat Christmas in the David Jones windows! Sydney has come alive, with shoppers busy doing last minute shopping and city workers taking time out to catch up with colleagues. Let's be grateful for all those behind the counters, the bars, the taxi and Uber drivers and the police who are there working through this busy time to ensure all goes to plan. Best wishes to all of you for a safe and enjoyable Christmas period from all of us! That's a wrap for our CBD Women In Business Network Evening Dec 10 hosted by Cowell Clarke This was the final CBD Women in Business Network get together for 2024. We were very fortunate to have Cathy Dimarchos from Solutions2you® join us to provide a powerful and meaningful presentation. It really seems like it was just the start of an ongoing conversation. We’ll look to build on this 2025. Thank you Cathy! I would like to acknowledge the House of Welcome Catering for the food presented. This is a social enterprise empowering people seeking asylum and refugees through meaningful employment opportunities, using food as a tool for community connection – and is managed through CBD Sydney Chamber Member St Francis Social Services located on Oxford St. Paddington. Please think about supporting them for your own functions - it makes a difference. The team at Cowell Clarke provide a location that (apart from a little building noise opposite) was a perfect location. Outside on a deck, overlooking Bridge Street – perfect! Thank you Louise Blair and her team for this. We look forward to seeing you in 2025.
