Despite the weather having other plans and preventing us from celebrating at the top as originally intended, we’re thrilled to have recently marked the topping out of 205 North Quay – a premium A-grade commercial office tower in Brisbane’s CBD. With more than 40,000 square metres of office space, a wellness floor, an open-air public plaza, and a versatile auditorium, it is an exemplary workplace that builds on our reputation for exceptional developments. As with so many of our buildings, we designed 205 North Quay to achieve a 6 Star Green Star and 5.5 star NABERS rating. The completed building will be a benchmark for both economic and environmental sustainability in future workplaces. Thank you to Nielson Properties, Hutchinson Builders, Hassell, REX Architecture and Richards & Spence for their dedication and partnership during this project. We recently celebrated a momentous topping out milestone at Sydney's 111 Castlereagh. This significant marker aptly acknowledges the incredible residential component of this iconic mixed-use development, highlighting an important moment in our project's journey. Cbus Property acquired the site of the former David Jones Menswear store in 2019, beginning construction shortly after, then beginning sales the following year. Last week, in collaboration with our construction partner, Hutchinson Builders, we hosted a special event at Brisbane's 205 North Quay. Alongside the Property Council of Australia, we proudly shared an exclusive on-site preview of this pioneering workspace. The 40,000+ square metres of cutting-edge office space, wellness floor and 18-metre open-air public plaza were on full display. Featured in PCA’s and EY’s Reimagining our Economic Powerhouses report, 205 North Quay exemplifies how modern workplaces can revitalise CBDs. A blueprint for sustainable and inspiring work environments, it is designed to achieve 6 Star Green Star and 5.5-star NABERS ratings and align with Brisbane City Council’s ‘Buildings that Breathe’ strategy. During the event, Cbus Property - Senior Development Manager, Michelle Fitzgerald shared the project vision and design, while Hutchinson Builders - Project Manager Nikolas Cox touched on construction. While weather conditions prevented a visit to the upper levels, we know there’s huge anticipation for all that’s to come upon the project’s completion. Thank you to everyone who attended. To recognise and support UN Women Australia and the International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women, our Melbourne employees participated in the Walk Against Family Violence earlier today.
