We partner with businesses to educate, advocate and empower people to end domestic and family violence.
About us
At Challenge DV, our vision is to create a world without domestic and family violence. We have been partnering with Australian businesses since 2001 to educate, advocate and empower people to end domestic and family violence. We do this through market-leading workplace programs, impactful strategic partnerships and powerful events and advocacy that unite a community no longer able to accept abuse or violence of any form. Our workplace programs empower businesses to be part of the solution by educating managers and staff to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence and respond appropriately. Our programs are tailored to meet our customers’ unique needs and are offered flexibly, with face-to-face, virtual or eLearning training solutions as required. Through our strategic partnerships, we connect people and workplaces across government, businesses, charities, frontline services and the community to create change and raise awareness for domestic and family violence prevention. We raise funds through events, such as the Darkness to Daylight challenge, and activities that we reinvest into research and prevention programs that make an impact to workplaces and communities across Australia.

Domestic and family violence has a profound impact on workplaces, with nearly half (48%) of respondents in the National Domestic Violence and the Workplace Survey* reporting that abuse affected their ability to get to work. KPMG estimates that domestic violence costs Australian businesses approximately $2 billion annually in lost productivity**. These figures highlight the critical role workplaces can play in addressing domestic violence. By fostering a culture that is safe, inclusive, and respectful, businesses can ensure their people receive the support they need when they need it most. At Challenge DV, we collaborate with all kinds of organisations to create safer workplaces through our tailored programs. Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we stand united with people around the world in our commitment to end domestic and family violence. Violence against women remains one of the most pervasive human rights violations, affecting millions globally. Nearly 1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime. At Challenge DV, our mission is clear: to create a world where everyone is safe, where our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities, are places of respect, equity, and support. Through education, prevention programs, and policy advocacy, we’re working to drive meaningful change and empower individuals and organisations to recognise and respond to violence. It will take all of us working together to build a future free from violence. We're proud to have delivered our first 'Our Club Says No 2 DV' training session with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls! The session held for their new staff members opened with a powerful message from Seagulls' leadership about the vital role of positive club culture. Our amazing facilitator, Trent, led the No 2 DV workshop, with staff engaging thoughtfully about the impact of language, everyday actions, and speaking up against harmful behaviours. The impact is clear: 100% of participants left feeling more confident to take action in the club and in their personal lives, with commitments to challenge inappropriate behaviour and language, role model positive actions, and promote gender equality in their community. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of the Celebrate for a Cause community, who have made this program possible. And this is just the beginning! We look forward to working with Seagulls players, and collaborating with other Bayside sporting clubs as we continue this vital work. #ChallengeDV #CelebrateForACause #CommunityImpact #EndDV

The #FECCA2024 Conference was packed with insights, inspiring conversations, and new connections. Juliana, Saesha, and Enisy from our team had the opportunity to connect, learn, and share ideas with other leaders and advocates who are passionate about building a more inclusive Australia. Thank you to FECCA (Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia) and the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland for hosting another incredible event. Our team returned with a deeper understanding of the unique challenges facing culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and how Challenge DV can strengthen our support for culturally informed domestic and family violence prevention. From community-led safety initiatives to addressing financial abuse among migrants, we’re grateful for the insights gained at #FECCA2024. These learnings and connections strengthen our work toward a future where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered. #ChallengeDV #EndDFV #CALD
