CheckUP are excited to share our new video campaign Healthcare closer to home. Health services are all too often out of reach for Queenslanders living in rural and remote communities. We’re committed to creating healthier communities and reducing health inequities. With the support of approximately 150 contracted health providers, CheckUP’s Outreach Health Services program delivers a wide range of health services throughout rural and remote Queensland, bringing Healthcare closer to home. Disability Action Week: 24 Nov – 1 Dec 2024 🐕 CheckUP Australia participated in a Disability Action Week workshop hosted by Guide Dogs Queensland. Guide Dogs Queensland provided practical strategies to make our communications more accessible—whether in person, via email, or on websites. Guide dogs are remarkable and play a vital role in providing practical support to people who are blind or have low vision to move safely and confidently through their environments. Recap | QMHC Leading Reform Summit Thank you Queensland Mental Health Commission for coordinating and providing the opportunity to attend the Summit this week. CheckUP Australia was fortunate to be part of the forum and hear from mental health leaders, people with lived and living experience, carers, frontline clinicians and workers, service providers, policy-makers, funders, planners and decision-makers. The two-day forum was a catalyst to align leaders, develop solutions to problems, introduce new strategies, fuel collaboration, spark ideas, harness the collective knowledge of sector leaders and drive the reform agenda forward.
