👏 Fantastic to see the Candaba 3rd Viaduct team reach such an important milestone! CIMIC Group companies Leighton Asia and EIC Activities are working together to deliver the third bridge of the Candaba Viaduct in the north of Manila, Philippines. 🌉 The new bridge increases the road capacity from three lanes without shoulder to three lanes with inner and outer shoulders in each direction. The project involves several key partners. NLEX Corporation is the client and the project manager, Leighton Asia serves as the contractor, while EIC Activities is providing the structural and geotechnical engineering design services for the project. OneDCS, Leighton Asia's Digital Construction Services company, is providing services in BIM and drafting for EIC Activities. 📢 CIMIC Group's CPB Contractors has been selected by the South Australian Government, as part of the Fleurieu Connections Alliance, with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, Aurecon and GHD, to deliver Stage 2 of the Main South Road Duplication (MSRD2) Project. 🛣 CPB Contractors’ construction of MSRD2 will include the delivery of a six-kilometre duplication road between Aldinga Road and Sellicks Beach Road in the south of Adelaide, this extension project will improve safety, traffic flows and connectivity for the Southern Fleurieu community. CIMIC Group, as part of Grupo ACS, extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have tragically lost their lives in the recent floods that have severely impacted several regions of Spain, particularly the Valencian community. To show solidarity with all those affected, the ACS Group has donated €1 million through the donation campaign launched by the Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross. Our sister companies are on the ground in affected areas, providing earthmoving equipment and cranes and working in partnership with local institutions to rehabilitate roads, railways and other essential infrastructure. Our thoughts are with all those affected during this incredibly difficult time.

👏 Congratulations to the team at UGL for hitting an important milestone with the start of operations at Stage 1 of the Collie Battery for our client Neoen Australia. 🔋 UGL was responsible for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the 33/330kV substation, the installation of the Tesla2 XL Megapacks and the associated balance of plant infrastructure.  Work has already begun on the next instalment, with UGL constructing and installing the 341 MW / 1363 MWh Collie Battery Stage 2. With a portfolio of 19 completed and current major renewables generation and storage projects, UGL is a market leader in the Australian energy sector leading the way in the design, construction and commissioning of energy assets across the country. #renewables #energy #infrastructure

What a great event! Last week we were proud to support the Unlocking tomorrow: digital infrastructure and renewable energy event hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ). Held at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo, the event featured speakers from CIMIC Group, AirTrunk, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation – SMBC Group and Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)   Cathy Hayes, Head of Client and Strategy, NSW and ACT, CPB Contractors delivered a keynote address highlighting the key market trends for the construction of data centres and how CIMIC Group is uniquely positioned to deliver this emerging pipeline of work.   Ben Cooper, General Manager New Energy, UGL also spoke on a panel moderated by Bob Seidler AM, Vice-President of the Australia-Japan Business Co-operation Committee, Principal at Kokusai Business Advisory and Director at CIMIC Group, providing insights on the energy transition and renewables opportunities in Australia.   CIMIC Group is a proud member of the ANZCCJ and we were pleased to share our expertise on digital infrastructure and renewable energy with their members and guests in Tokyo.
