From delivering community infrastructure and vital social programs and services, to keeping our town looking beautiful and managing the hives of activity that are our library, Visitor Centre and arts spaces, they’re a diverse and skilled bunch who really do punch above their weight! The project enhances and protects the region's iconic landmark Longkewar through a designated viewing platform, walking paths and cultural storytelling elements. Designed by Hatch Design with artist Cedric Varcoe and constructed by Base Civil, the Bluff Master Plan Stage 1 is an example of successful collaboration, with over 700 residents and visitors contributing to the design process! The Victor Harbor Annual Business Survey is now live and aims to provide both the City of Victor Harbor and Business Victor Harbor with greater insight into the challenges and opportunities that exist for local businesses. The first survey was conducted in 2016, with results reviewed and analysed each year to understand changing trends in the local business environment. The results from the survey will also be used by the Council and Business Victor Harbor to advocate for the Fleurieu Peninsula when liaising with government and non-government organisations. It's been a big two days on the Fleurieu Peninsula, with the Premier's Country Cabinet coming to town! 👋 With a busy schedule including a sold-out community forum at The Encounter Bay Football Club last night and various advocacy events and meetings across the communities today, Ministers were briefed on our strengths and areas for growth as a region. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our State Government counterparts and look forward to welcoming them back soon! 🤝

Victor Harbor welcomes cruise ships! 🛥️ The impending arrival of two expedition cruise chips in December 2024 and February 2025 represents an important milestone for tourism in Victor Harbor, boosting the town’s profile and providing a positive economic impact for local businesses. These visits will showcase our region as a premier tourism destination for both domestic and international travellers. City of Victor Harbor Mayor Moira Jenkins said she was thrilled that Victor Harbor was recognised as an attractive destination for the cruising tours. “The announcement is a strong signifier of just how attractive our coastal city is to both national and international visitors,” she said.
