Thanks to the support of our team members and generosity of our customers and suppliers, the Coles SecondBite Christmas Appeal has raised more than $1.5 million to help feed Aussies in need. Funds raised will enable SecondBite to provide the equivalent of up to 7.5 million meals to its 1000-plus local charity partners nationally. SecondBite CEO Daniel Moorfield said “We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of Coles and its customers, as well as its suppliers Cadbury, Remedy Drinks, Local Brewing Co. and DASH Water to achieve this result. Every dollar donated will help make a difference in local communities right across Australia." Coles Group Corporate & Indigenous Affairs Officer Sally Fielke added, “Once again our customers and team members have embraced the spirit of Christmas through their support of SecondBite – whether that’s by purchasing a donation card, packing food hampers or preparing meals for those who need it most.” Coles Keilor led the charge, raising more than $17,000, with Broadway and Green Valley rounding out the top three supermarkets, while Liquorland Daylesford was the top fundraising Coles Liquor store this Christmas. #ProudlyColes #LifeAtColes #TeamColes Coles Liquor / Michael Courtney / Steve Hugginson GAICD / Brooke Donnelly / Anna Croft

Coles is ringing up festive cheer and celebrating its 12 most popular team members of 2024, recognised for their extraordinary efforts in delivering standout service and spreading smiles across the country. 🌟🎄 With more than 45,000 heartfelt customer comments shared through the TellColes survey this year, we are honouring team members who consistently go above and beyond to create lasting impressions long after the checkout. Coles marked the team members' achievements with in-store celebrations alongside colleagues, customers and friends, presenting each winner with a trophy and keepsake book of customer feedback from the year as a token of appreciation for their exceptional service. Executive General Manager Supermarket Operations, Claire Lauber said the initiative was a meaningful way to recognise all team members for their hard work. “Our team members are the face of Coles, and their dedication to delivering exceptional experiences for our customers is something we’re incredibly proud of,” she said. “This initiative is just one of the ways we like to show gratitude this festive season for the incredible work they do every day. The 12 team members are shining examples of the care, connection and commitment which represents the very best of Coles.” A huge congratulations and shoutout to our 12 most popular team members of 2024! #TeamColes 🔴 Apple Coleman, Coles Mosman Park, West Australia 🔴 John Carr, Coles Anzac Highway, South Australia 🔴 Caroline Eichenburger, Coles Berri, South Australia 🔴 Michael Coyle, Coles Erina, New South Wales 🔴 Amanda McDonnell, Coles Aspley Hypermarket, Queensland 🔴 Sue Webber, Coles Sandy Bay, Tasmania 🔴 Rayleen Beard, Coles Busselton, Western Australia 🔴 Sophie Ward, Coles Local Coorparoo, Queensland 🔴 Billy Norman, Coles Forrestfield, Western Australia 🔴 Rachael Leiminger, Coles Diamond Creek, Victoria 🔴 Rosemary Turner, Coles Bowral, New South Wales 🔴 Allana Noyce, Coles Corinda, Queensland

Coles has been recognised as one of Australia’s most generous companies in the latest GivingLarge report from Strive Philanthropy. The research uncovers the considerable contributions to the community by some of Australia’s top companies. For the fifth consecutive year, Coles placed #1 for our contribution to the community as a percentage of profit on a three-year rolling basis. With 11% of our pre-tax profit provided to benefit our communities in FY24, we also placed second in total contribution. Our position as one of Australia’s top corporate givers is a wonderful recognition of our team members and that of our customers and our suppliers nationwide, who regularly go above and beyond to support a range of local and national community organisations and initiatives. Coles is incredibly proud to once again achieve this recognition, as community and our customers is at the heart of what we do. Coles team members rolled up their sleeves to help feed Aussies in need on Wednesday night for the Coles SecondBite Christmas Appeal. The team helped prepare ready-to-eat Christmas meals in the FareShare kitchen with produce rescued by SecondBite. Volunteering alongside SecondBite ambassador Matt Preston, Coles ambassadors Michael Weldon, Tasia and Gracia Segar and Nornie Bero as well as SecondBite friends and staff, the team managed to make just over 1000 meals in under 1.5 hours! The Christmas-inspired meals will now be distributed to local charity partners who provide food directly to vulnerable Australians. The event is part of a number of volunteering opportunities for Coles team members to give back this Christmas for the 2024 Coles SecondBite Christmas Appeal. Next week, team members will pack emergency food hampers for SecondBite in the SSC while our NSW SSC team members will help pack 'hampers of hope' at Addi Road Community Centre. And of course, all across Australia our stores have been playing their part in their local communities by raising funds in-store and going the extra mile to support local SecondBite charity partners. With another hairy season come and gone, Coles Group is proud to announce a Mo-mentous fundraising effort, raising over $1.5m for #Movember this year – a record-breaking year. Team Members stood up to the plate this year, with 347 individuals and 13 teams raising over $160k for the cause, a Mo-vellous achievement. For the second year in a row the NSW Supermarkets team were our highest team fundraisers, well done. As well as our team members, the campaign was supported by our very generous suppliers and customers – a truly cross-functional effort. Funds raised will help change the face of men’s health, supporting programs and initiatives aimed at tackling some of the most complex health issues facing men today – mental health and suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. This year’s campaign takes Coles Group’s overall contribution to Movember to over $5.7m since 2010. #Movember #ProudlyColes James Juranke Sally Fielke John Cox Rosie Coldwell Sam Faithorn Guido Gizzi Scott Nicholson

Today we celebrate International Day of People with Disability, a day dedicated to recognising the contributions, resilience and talents of people with disability. At Coles Group we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and diverse community by promoting awareness, understanding and acceptance. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, we aim to empower people with disability to thrive and achieve their goals, while advancing disability inclusion and accessibility. Celebrating diversity is an important way we bring our Coles values to life, demonstrating our ‘Care for each other’ value and our commitment to ‘Create for the future’. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on our progress on creating inclusive and accessible environments for our team members, customers, communities and suppliers. This year, we’re proud to celebrate being Ranked number one in the Access and Inclusion Index 2023 by the Australian Disability Network, reflecting our progress in accessibility. We’re also making strides in creating employment opportunities for people with disability including initiatives like our South Australia Bakery Hub, where inclusive practices are creating positive change. You can watch a video of Lorraine Boyd, one of our leaders sharing her story of creating for the future and making a difference through inclusive employment in her store. 👉 https://lnkd.in/g8f3G_mN While these achievements are worth celebrating, we know there is more to be done.
