  • As we head towards a much needed break it has been wonderful to reflect on another huge year of growth and driving positive impact through multiple programs and initiatives, as always powered by collaboration. 🌟 Together with our delivery partners the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) and Social Traders we ramped up delivery of the Business for Good Program with 10 workshops, 1 conference and 22 coaching sessions delivered to over 100 South Australian social enterprises and small businesses to strengthen their knowledge and capability to deliver social, environmental and economic outcomes with long-term business sustainability and growth. And the Program has now been extended to 30 June 2025! 🌟 We had our first full year of delivering Peers4Good, an individualised peer-support and re-engagement program for women exiting Adelaide Women’s Prison in which we, with our incredible Lived Experience Peer Coordinators Tracey and MJ, were able to support over 40 women with the complex and challenging process of transitioning from prison back to community. 🌟 Our third Circular Impact Accelerator program was delivered in partnership with StartSomeGood and Green Industries SA, with six teams participating to develop their circular economy social enterprises. Stay tuned for an announcement to come soon about the 2025 Circular Impact Accelerator program! 🌟 We welcomed our fourth member director, Arianna Watson, to the Collab4Good board after working closely with Arianna as an associate program manager over the past few years. 🌟 We grew our staff to 3x staff members, bringing on two incredible lived experience Peer Coordinators, and we created paid work engagements for over 30x associates in our local and national network to contribute their impactful skills, experience and knowledge to our programs. 🌟 We challenged outdated systems that block people with lived experience from participating in the workforce, and contributed to lived experience policy reforms across multiple SA Government departments. 🌟 We became a founding member of the CASEI (Council of Australian Social Enterprise Intermediaries), a group of like-minded social enterprise intermediaries across the nation to bolster the growth and development of social enterprises across Australia. This included contributing to the the ‘Five Stages of Social Enterprise Development Framework’ and running a panel with other CASEI members at the Social Traders Convene Conference. None of this would have been possible without our partners and collaborators, and our amazing network of impact-driven people and organisations. We thank you for all you do to make this world a better place now and for generations to come. The Collab4Good team will be taking a well-earned break from COB 20th December, returning on Monday 6th January 2025. We look forward to driving more positive impact with you all in 2025! Much love from your Collab4Good team Amy, Moira, Sarah, Arianna, Tracey and MJ

  • Yesterday we held a Christmas Hamper Day for the women in our Peers4Good program to make their own basket of goodies to help them get through the holiday season - pantry staples, Christmas treats, gifts for kids and for themselves, and a delicious lunch to share. We are so proud of these women and of our lived experience Peer Coordinators Tracey and MJ who provide such critical support to help women navigate the challenges of transitioning from prison back to community ❤️

  • 🎉 What an inspiring Friday! On Friday last week, we wrapped up 2024's Business for Good program with an incredible workshop and end-of-year celebration at the Torrens University Australia Social Enterprise Hub. Led by Tom Allen, our tenth and final workshop explored the intricacies of scaling for impact. Tim Graham kicked off the day with a thoughtful Welcome to Country and stayed on to share invaluable insights as a First Nations provocateur, helping us view scaling through an Indigenous lens. Participants (both in-person and online) delved into critical questions like What does growth mean for your enterprise? How can we scale with integrity while managing challenges and opportunities? What’s the First Nations perspective on scale? The conversations were deep, thought-provoking, and practical, helping participants shape strategies for scaling their businesses for good. 🍴🥪🍰 A break for delicious catering from Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc.'s Summit Café fuelled our networking and further discussions! The day ended on a high note with a powerful panel featuring Nader Ibrahim, Minka Youngmi Park, and Cassie Day, FGLF, moderated by Arianna Petra Watson. The panellists shared personal and vulnerable reflections on the costs of scaling - not just financial, but also mental and emotional. Their honesty created a meaningful space for shared learning and understanding, which we’re so proud to have fostered. As we wrap up the year, we’re thrilled to announce our next opportunity: 💼 HR Drop-In Session with Mel Blondell (January 2025) Got HR challenges? Mel will be hosting a session for social enterprises needing guidance. Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/g9TXKjdT Thank you to everyone who made this day - and the entire program - so special. Here's to scaling social and environmental impact together in 2025! 🙌 South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) Social Traders Office for Small and Family Business
