It was a privilege to host our advisers from Burcheart alongside our partners in education from Colonial First State and Partners Group at the recent Women in Finance Awards. Amongst the talented woman sharing the table we were delighted to cheerlead Sacha Burchgart. Not only is she The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) 2023 Adviser of the year she also made the shortlist of nominees for the Women in Finance Adviser of the year – a testament to the commitment to her customers and her team. We’re so proud of Sacha and her team and of all the incredible women doing great things in our network.

From Perth to Melbourne and Sydney this week alone. It has been brilliant to be amongst the first series of Professional Development Days where we’ve brought together all of our AFSL cohorts. During the sessions there’s been economic updates from our investment teams, talk about what’s new in the tech space and how we’re helping our customers sleep at night. There’s so much energy around the current and future demand for advice and our advisers are front row and rearing to bring their learnings to their customers. Next up…Newcastle, Brisbane, and Adelaide. A great way for all in the network to top up their reserves as we draw towards the end of another really successful year. Our education partners have brought so much value to the businesses of our advisers. Today is RUOK Day, a national day dedicated to encouraging conversations that can save lives. This week, our founder Barry Lambert, CEO Hugh Humphrey and a few of our team members had the privilege of attending the launch of John Brogden’s book, Profiles in Hope. This powerful book highlights the experiences of individuals during times when they were not okay. We were moved by the brave and vulnerable stories shared by John Brogden, Layne Beachley AO, and Matthew Caruana. The event honoured Lifeline Australia and the incredible work they do to support Australians in their times of need. Tragically, every day in Australia, nine people die by suicide, and another 150 attempt to take their own lives. Master of Ceremonies Peter Overton AM recognised the Count Charitable Foundation for donating $1 million to Lifeline Australia over the years. We are incredibly proud of the Count Foundation and its commitment to Lifeline Australia, ensuring that no one in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.
