A timely reminder to always keep your software updated for your protection. Stay Safe!
The Oh Behave report identifies Inconsistent Adoption of MFA & Software Updates! Despite 81% of participants being aware of multi-factor authentication (MFA), adoption is inconsistent, especially among Millennials and Gen Z. This inconsistency, coupled with ignoring critical software updates, exposes you to unnecessary cyber risks. Awareness is high, but we need to focus on increasing action—enabling MFA and staying on top of updates should be the norm! Small businesses are constantly challenged by today's cyber vulnerabilities and attacks. Our team is here to help them stay secure and resilient. Join the CUSP program today and protect your business, thanks to the Office for Small and Family Business and the Department of State Development
Aussie business owners are being urged to get a cyber health check as soon as possible, on the back of multiple high-profile hacks affecting everyday families. What we are seeing more now is sophisticated hackers targeting internet-connected devices such as printers, blinds, and even lighting. The new test, called the Cyber Health Test, highlights areas where you could be attacked. I caught up with Dr Aastha Gupta, from ViCyber who said online security should be a priority for every business in the current climate. “Whether it’s a fish and chip shop, the bookkeeper, your pharmacy, medical practices, all the way to a very big business". “Everybody deserves cybersecurity and protecting their digital assets, and that’s what we do at Vicyber”. Cyber vulnerabilities include outdated software, old computer passwords found on the dark web, along with access points for hackers, through to products connected to the internet, like lighting systems and printers. It comes off the back of major tech hacks on companies like Medibank and Optus that have occurred in the last few years, there will be huge fines for ransomware payments done in the dark. #cybersecurity #tech Seven Network #thatsmassive
