Hello 2025! What a great night with two fantastic speakers sharing their wealth of knowledge with our data and analytics community. Simon Jackson, PhD shared some great tips on how to be impactful with data from his long career in data science. The winning crowd question was “are data decision makers getting better or worse at using data?” Peter Hanssens shared his work on how a modern data stack helped revolutionise a startup's data architecture. They went from “oh dear, oh dear I’m going to be late” to having perfect control over our data timeline. The Alice in Wonderland analogies made a technical talk digestible but the 10x performance improvements and significant cost savings made the project a big success. 🌟Thanks to our excellent speakers, our ongoing sponsors and to the volunteer team who pull it all together.
