Destination Sydney Surrounds North (DSSN) is one of seven Destination Networks responsible for driving the growth of the Visitor Economy in each respective region. Destination Sydney Surrounds North is a large and diverse region and covers 10 Local Government Areas comprising of Central Coast, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock, Singleton, Maitland, Dungog, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter. We are a diverse tourism region with a significant number of existing assets and a number of international-ready destinations with recognised brands in both the domestic and international markets. It's diversity is one of its key strengths, with a tourism offer encompassing aquatic and coastal, nature and adventure, food and wine, history and heritage, events and festivals and business events.
