Congratulations to Wayne Rosenboom, who received AOC Australia’s Ross Treharne Shield for Outstanding Achievement in Electronic Warfare. This prestigious award recognises exceptional contributions to advancing electronic warfare capabilities in Australia through innovative approaches and outstanding leadership. Presenting the award is WGCDR Alexander Cave, Commanding Officer of the Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Unit with Allan Dundas, CEO of DEWC Services. Having served 30 years of dedicated Defence service in and out of uniform and being widely recognised in Australia for his expertise, this award could not go to a more worthy individual. Throughout his career, Wayne has developed, supported and optimised airborne countermeasures for every ADF airborne platform. His work for several decades has seen the development of innovative capability to provide the best outcome for Defence Australia. He has also been a strong advocate for the development of the future workforce at DEWC Services. Wayne has worked tirelessly over many years mentoring junior engineers and graduates to teach them the fundamentals of EW and provide technical guidance and leadership, with the ultimate aim of raising engineers with specialist EW skills within the Defence environment. By giving them a strong sense of purpose, it fuels their passion and motivates them to stay in the #C4ISREW workforce, which has not only maintained but grown essential Defence capacity.
